Chapter 7

"Hmm ... I came on time apparently," said Jovan when the fragrant smell of cooking wafted from the dining room.

The single man immediately walked there and greeted Ernawati and Candra, then to Vienna which was serving food. Edwin walked to his room to change his clothes. His brow furrowed as he passed the waitress who appeared to be carrying a tray, still full of food.

"What is this?" he asked, not understanding. As far as I know, people were gathering in the dining room, but the woman instead brought a tray from upstairs.

"Eumh, Sir, Mrs. Melati didn't want to eat the food, so I changed the food to a new one, but she didn't seem to want to open the door," replied the polite waiter.

"Is that so?" The servant nodded, then immediately passed away.

He was about to open the door when the new, still warm food, was on the table by the door of his room.

''Does she live in my room?" he murmured softly, pulling the doorknob and opening it a little roughly. Until Jasmine who was inside was immediately shocked. He thought it was the waiter who opened the door.

"Is that how you got into the room?" Melati's mad.

"Have you never been taught good manners, so to eat only people must serve you. Even you don't appreciate their efforts at all," she snapped, ignoring Melati's words, as she played with her phone on the bed.

"Who told you? They shouldn't have bothered to do that. Besides, it's not just me who has no manners, the way you open the door, shows your true nature," he replied curtly, without wanting to take his eyes off the screen in front of him. Edwin moved closer to the bed.

"Melati, look, it's a good thing I brought you into this house on threats from your father. Can't you abide by the rules in this house, or at least don't make others trouble for what you did," he hissed in a heavy voice. Jasmine is just mendelik. Indeed, he is very hungry. It's just that the words of Ernawati and the servant had affected her mood at this time.

"Go away, because I don't want to argue with you at the moment." Melati said again.

"You kicked me out of my room?" Edwin quipped that could make Melati sit down quickly.

"So you mean I have to get out of this room?" The two looked at each other. Before finally Edwin looked away in disgust. Moreover, the nightgown used by the woman was only a tank top.

Melati is whining.

"If that's necessary." Edwin stared into the corner of the room where several packs of chocolate were scattered on the floor. He was grunting annoyed, his room is always neat and fragrant, now looks slovenly. But he guessed that, behind Melati's stubbornness, women must be very hungry. It's just too prestigious.

The man opened the door again and brought food for her.

"Eat," she said, laying the tray beside Melati's bed. The woman only turned her head briefly then turned her body in the other direction.

"I'm not hungry and I don't need to be pitied," she said emphatically. Edwin pulled the corners of his lips, like mocking.

"If you weren't hungry, there wouldn't be food wrappers in my room. After all, it's not just for you but also for the good of the child in your belly. I just don't want to be called a man who is insensitive to your stomach affairs, until finally, you complain everything to your abusive father," said Edwin again as he prepared to get out of the room into the bathroom, after taking a change of clothes.

Melati immediately glanced to the side, while inhaling the aroma of food that got into her nose. To be honest, she confirmed Edwin's words just now, and she was also very hungry, but the irritation caused by Ernawati's words earlier, made her unappetizing to eat.

Besides, it's too embarrassing for him to have to eat the girl's cooking that was talking about him behind his back.

A few moments later, Edwin who had just come out of the bathroom smiled faintly when he saw Melati immediately took a piece of fried chicken and ate it like a starving person, and the woman was still sitting on her bed without thinking If later the mattress would turn dirty or smell fishy.

"Is it your habit to eat in bed?" he quipped Again while preparing to open the door and close it quickly, before Melati had time to answer his words. The woman immediately rolled her eyes lazily.

'You have a big mouth.'

Edwin went straight down to the dining room, where people were enjoying their dinner.

"Hey, why didn't your wife invite you to eat together? You know what I'm here for, wanting to get to know him." Jovan protested as he stared at Edwin who pulled up a chair and sat himself there. Shortly thereafter, Vienna picked up a plate for him and prepared rice and a side dish that the man would eat.

"It looks like he wants to eat in his room." Edwin said without taking his eyes off. She takes a piece of cock and puts it in her mouth.

The astonished Jovan could not bear to ask. "Why?"

Edwin didn't like it.

"You want to accompany him?"

"Uh, that's not what I meant." Jovan scratched his head and it didn't itch.

"Then shut up, don't ask too many questions," Edwin replied again to the big-mouthed man.

"From noon Melati does not want to eat," said Ernawati, opening her voice. Women feel bad. Edwin only responded with a faint smile.

"Never mind, just leave her alone, Mom," Edwin retorted again because he did not want to talk about the woman, who every time he met there only made him more upset.

"Yes, but–"

"By the way, this fried chicken tastes very good. Surely this is made by Mother, " Edwin cut again, making Ernawati smile at him.

"Yes, Mom and Vienna cooked it in the kitchen. Unfortunately Melati did not want to taste it," said Ernawati again, feeling guilty about Melati because of her own words until the woman was reluctant to come out of the room. Even though as a woman who has officially become her daughter-in-law, she wants to get to know Melati more and ask many things to the girl. But it seemed that his plans had to be delayed a little, given the woman's attitude, which was not easy for him to approach. Plus after his speech this afternoon, you can be sure that Melati will increasingly dislike him.

Edwin walked towards the balcony and held onto his iron, looking at the twinkling of stars scattered in the night sky. It looks bright with no grey clouds.

A few moments ago, Candra and also her mother had entered the room to rest. Now there he is with Jovan chatting casually accompanied by a glass of warm cappuccino and some snacks in front of him.

"Don't you want to sleep soon? It's almost ten o'clock in the evening, after all there is a woman waiting for you in the room." Jovan deliberately said that in order to tempt his boss and friend, who seemed to be still at home lingering in that place.

And he felt great. In fact, a cup of Viennese cappuccino is not able to keep his eyes awake longer. It only remains to find pillows and blankets, it is certain that Jovan will immediately dock into dreamland.

Edwin was annoyed. The woman in the room? It's absurd to have to explain.

"If you want, you can substitute me to accompany him." Jovan glared and accidentally threw his fist over the man's shoulder to a grimace.

"You're not joking, My friend," he said quickly, which was able to make Edwin pull the corner of his lips to the side.

"Who said joking?" Edwin replied again like a tweet. In her mind, a woman like Melati would willingly accept anyone who wanted to spend the night with her and that made her shudder. Imagine that woman who changes partners all the time. Something he never imagined, and damn why should a woman like that be his wife today.

Someone opened Edwin's bedroom door and went straight out of the room, as Jovan stared at him gawking.

"W-wow ...!" Her eyes are perfectly round to see the appearance of Melati that is perfectly exposed in front of her eyes.
