LOGINHi all.
This book is a bit dark in the beginning and I'm placing a trigger warning here for those who don't want to read it and for those who want a heads-up in advance. This book contains mature content and some bad language but there will be a HEA in this book, I promise.
When it comes to my update schedule I'm placing the schedule at the end of the month on my social media for those who want to know. You can find it by searching on my name❤️
Hope you will enjoy the book and don't forget to leave a good review after.
Much love/ Melan
Heidi pov Her words cut through the air like a knife, hard and determined with a threat I know she will fulfill. Her body language tells me everything I need to know, her face shows raw emotions, and he would be a fool to not listen to her and realize she is serious about it. "Can you all calm down a bit?" Alora says and takes several steps closer. That woman has surprised me a lot since I've met her. She is observant and can read the room and put two and two together without knowing the whole story, she is clever. I hardly ever come across someone like her and I know in another time we could have been great friends. "This isn't necessary, and I know it can be solved without a fight," she continues to say, but on that point I'm not sure I agree with her. Aron won't let Kaylee leave without a fight, but that woman has surprised me before. "She will stay!" Aron booms before dropping his hold on Carl who as usual doesn't overreact and takes every situation calmly. I'm not surprised
Kaylee pov Everyone else in the room slowly starts to fade away right before my eyes, his face is all I'm seeing when I feel hurt and betrayed by this revelation. "You used me!" I hear those words on repeat in my head over and over again before my lips form them into words. I thought it was something else, that it meant something to him, but I was just delusional. Or I fooled myself by the way I wanted him, I thought he wanted me as his mate. What he said wasn't true? He just used me for his gain? "That's exactly what he did, just like the ruthless Alpha he is. Or he would have told you before Kaylee, giving you the chance to decide for yourself what you wanted before he marked you. Did he give you the chance? Did he even try to explain anything to you?" I hear Heidi's voice to my right, every word is cutting through my body. Painful and raw, she could have used a knife, and that would probably have felt the same. My mind takes me back to yesterday, when I went in with him. Him
Kaylee pov I see the door open when Alora comes bursting inside the front door, her eyes instantly dart to Heidi and Aron before she looks at me. Her face shows worry at first, then a sense of defeat and something else when she takes several steps closer to the stairs. "Kaylee," her voice is soft while worried when I start to walk down the stairs, a quick step at a time while Heidi growls at Aron. "Can you all calm down, What's going on?" I ask before stopping at the last step. Alora walks the last step towards me, moving my hair to the side and taking a closer look at my shoulder where he marked me. "What?" I can't help but question when Heidi growls angrily on the side. "You fucking marked her! You fucking bastard took your chance and fucking marked her!" Heidi booms. I look at her angry, stiff body with fur coating her arms, and she's ready to shift. I don't understand why she is this angry. "Wait, Heidi, I agreed to it," I tell her when Alora places her hand on my should
Kaylee pov Moving onto my side I feel sore all over at the same time as I have a great feeling inside my body. Just the thought of everything he did to me last night travels through my body like a heatwave while I open my eyes to see the room is still dark but the sun has started to rise. He satisfied all my needs until I was completely spent and exhausted. Then he washed me off and tucked me in under the cover. I fell asleep before he was even done, but I remember my last thought was that he never came. Not once, and I wanted to ask him about it. "Did I hurt you?" His dark voice travels through my body, instantly making my body long for his touch while I turn my head to look for him. I hear his voice coming from the other side of the bed. I find him sitting with this stiff body looking out the window, and I get a dark feeling about him, like there is something heavy weighing over him. "No," I honestly tell him, my words travel through the silence of the room when I see him tak
Alora pov Liz walks further into the room, placing the tray on the table to the side before she looks at Heidi on the bed, who stays silent. "Answer me Heidi, what are you keeping from me?" She says with a firm tone while Heidi looks at me. "There is nothing to talk about and there won't be anything to talk about," she states while I stand silent looking at her. I know there is no point in pushing her anymore and I have no right to tell Liz what it is without Heidi's consent, but I have given Liz something to think about and I know she will nag Heidi about it now that she has heard some of the conversation. "You think I'm death? I heard you! Don't lie to me!" Liz snaps when Heidi turns to look at her. "We're not here to talk about me, we are here to get Kaylee back. Have you forgotten?" Heidi states, trying to change the conversation. "Yes, I know we are, but your health is important, and I won't leave without any answer," Liz says when I hear Heidi sigh heavily. "On
Alora pov The door flies open, and Liz comes rushing inside with a troubled expression on her face when she walks quickly over to the bed. "You're awake. How do you feel?" She asks Heidi even before she has stopped by the bed. Heidi turns her face to look at her, and I can tell she is a bit upset with Liz, guessing it's because she told me about her episodes. "Why did you tell her? I've told you to never reveal anything!" She says with a firm tone in her voice when I sit back and watch them instead, I want to see the dynamic between them to frind out more about them. "Of course I did! You had a bad episode, and I couldn't just stand to the side and watch. I care about you," Liz snaps back, and I'm surprised she stands up that hard against Heidi. "You have promised me!" Heidi states when Liz takes a step closer to the bed, leaning a bit forward, it's obvious she doesn't back down from Heidi, she's a true friend. "I don't care when it comes to your health! I'm tired of s
Kaylee pov I hear the lock being turned before the door is opened and heavy steps start to walk inside the cell. My eyes land on his muscular naked upper body and I have a hard time peeling my eyes off him at first when he walks further inside the room. Letting my eyes travel slowly up his body
Kaylee pov My eyes feel like someone has poured sand into them, I haven't slept a second since he left last night. I have been lying in the same spot on the floor and looking up at the window the whole night. My mind has been wandering away with me and nothing makes it easier. I can't do anythin
Kaylee pov Of all the places I could have ended up at, it had to be here with him. I see him take a step closer when I close my eyes and just try to breathe through this nightmare. I want to be anywhere else but here. "Place her down in the cell, I will interrogate her later. There is some activ
Kaylee pov I don't know for how long I have been lying in the room when I hear several heavy footsteps walk down the stairs. My body starts to shake in fear when I hear them walk by the cell I'm in before they open a door, and I hear a man screaming the whole way past my door and up the stairs.
