Chapter 7 Escalated Vandalism

Their roar seemed to shake the very ground beneath me.

I shifted my gaze and laid eyes upon the approaching crowd. Armed with farming tools, some carried plastic bags, while some girls even held mud balls.

With dirt-covered faces and disheveled appearances, they ran towards me, causing clouds of dust to fill the air. The swirling dirt irritated my throat, triggering a series of coughs.

These fans were bullies who only picked on the weak and feared the strong. As soon as they saw the situation escalating, they quickly dispersed and disappeared.

Watching them flee, a few boys dropped their shovels while girls tossed away their mud balls. They plopped down on the ground, tears streaming down their faces as they grabbed onto my legs.

"Ms. Morgan, you're finally back! Our vegetables are dying. Did you bring us any seeds?"

I furrowed my brow, wondering how they managed to kill the plants again.
