Aurora's POV

Seven days left, I ticked my calendar, counting down to my sweetheart's return. I know it's wrong to call him that, but I can't help myself. He is my sweetheart.

It's been a year and seven months, I was dying to see him again. I still can't believe he left for so long, does he not miss me?

I am his one and only Aurora, he might not know that yet, but I am in love with him. My world literally revolves around his.

Well… my life's about to get interesting. I just turned eighteen, and I am trying to figure out a way to get my billionaire uncle to fall for me.

I know I sound like a slut, but if you had an Uncle who is as hot as mine, you might definitely sound like one too.

As I walk through the hallways, noises from the other kids, and the scraping of chairs faded into the background.

“Hey Rory,” one of my besties, Marinette, walked towards me, waving her hands like the crazy girl she was.

“You should probably put your hands down, Mike is watching.” I teased, she got alerted instantly. I took advantage of the crush Marinette has on Mike.

“Phew… He isn't.” She looked around and eased up a little, Mike wasn't around.

“Got ya!” I kidded.

“You little bitch,” she spanked my shoulder a little, then we walked along.

And of course, the eyes of every boy in hallways trailed behind us. We were the hottest girls in the school, Marinette, Rose and I— We have been inseparable since junior high, and I am glad we made it this far.

“Hey bitches!!” Rose tagged along with us.

We chatted endlessly till we got to our respective classes, Rose and I had classes together, while Marinette had a different class.

Class was boring as hell, I wasn't paying as much attention as I used to.

Hey… I am not a bad student, I have the best grades as I always try to make Uncle X proud of me. Working hard tirelessly, being his good little niece.

As soon as the teacher dismissed the class, I gathered my things and raced off to the next class.

My day at school was good as always, I rarely had any complaints anyway. I hopped into the car feeling relieved, the drive home was quiet, giving me time to think.

“We are home, Miss Aurora,” The chauffeur's voice broke the silence as the car came to a stop.

“Thanks, Mr Albert.”

I ran into the mansion, dismissing the greetings of the workers. I threw my bag to my bed as soon as I got to my room, I was so fucking tired. My stomach growled, reminding me I haven't had anything since lunch.

I got changed, ran down the stairs, and hurried to the kitchen.

“Easy there Lady,” Madam Lucy, the cook said.

“I am starving,” I chimed, settling into a dining chair.

“Yeah… I know, your lunch is ready,” I gave a large smile at her statement. I am a foodie… I know that. Tasting deliciousness on my tongue makes me happy.

She served me food. Pasta, sauce, and something cheesy beside it. I didn’t waste time finishing up.

When I finished, I assisted madam Lucy in doing the dishes and we chatted.

“Good thing Sir Xavier is returning soon,” she smiled.

Deep down, I also smiled.

“It’s absolutely good that he is returning soon.”

“You must have missed him a lot.”

I nodded to her.

It's true… I miss him very much, he does call me sometimes, but that isn't enough, I want to see him in person.

I cleaned my hand with the kitchen towel after I finished rinsing the plate.

I went back to my room, I had a notification on my phone, it was a text from Jared, a classmate, who seemed to be the hottest boy in the school, not like I cared anyways.

~Hi Aurora, how are you doing?~

I hesitated a little before replying, I wasn't interested in chatting with him. I know his intentions clearly.

~I am good, and you?~

~Good too, so I was wondering, if you would like to hang out?~

I knew it, conversations with Jared would always lead to this.

~No~ I replied bluntly.

It's a shame that I haven't experienced dating yet, but I will soon. I would experience it with no one other than my sweetheart.

As I laid on my bed, I couldn’t help but think about him, a part of me was unsettled.

If Uncle X returns, would he stay with me forever, or would he return back? No he wouldn't. I won't let him. He has to stay with me.

The countdown was so agonizing, minutes felt like hours. But I knew he would be mine soon, and that thought made me the happiest girl on earth.
