21~ The date

Rita was taken aback by Chris’s question. She felt like she had heard that kind of question before. Then it hit her. Years ago… when they had just enrolled into college.

~Flashback~

Rita: 18 years old

Eric: 19 years old

Chris: 20 years old

It was a Saturday afternoon and Rita had just finished having a group discussion and was heading back to her room.

She found flowers and a box of chocolates just outside her door. Picking up the flowers, Rita took out the card and read its contents.

RITA, WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO ON A DATE WITH ME?

There was no name but Rita immediately guessed who it was. “So romantic!”

She quickly took out her phone and dialed Eric.

“Hel—”

“Yes!” Rita said excitedly before Eric could even say hello.
