Chris glared at Lydia the moment he cut the phone.
“How did you know I’m here?” He asked icily.
“I didn’t.. I just came to have a drink then I happened to see you sitting here alone so I walked over to keep you company.” Lydia said, lying through her teeth.
The truth was that, when Chris left her, Maria’s driver had given her a lift and she followed Chris to skybar. Lydia sat in a corner waiting for the perfect opportunity to make her move. When she saw Chris talking on the phone, she walked over and spoke ambiguously to create a misunderstanding incase the person on the other end of the line was a woman.
Chris scoffed. “You expect me to believe that when desperation is written all over your face?”
“You don’t own skybar do you? I can come here anytime I want.” Lydia countered.
“Actually, I do.” Chris remarked, taking a sip of his whiskey.
