Chris noticed that the lights in the sitting room were off when he got to the villa indicating that everyone had gone to bed early. He had stayed back at the company to work overtime.
‘They must be tired from the trip,' he said to himself and climbed the stairs.
Opening the master bedroom door, Chris paused in his tracks when he noticed a dim lighting in the room. The usual lights were turned off. In their place were scented candles placed on the floor and some on the vanity table, the bedside table and even at the foot of the bed.
That was not all, some candles were arranged in such a way that they made a small path leading to the balcony. The path was littered with white and red rose petals.
Chris looked around in search of his wife but she was no where to be seen. With a cocked eyebrow, he placed his laptop bag down and followed the path of petals until he was outside the balcony.
A table was set at the center of the balcony covered with a

Rita Jones sighed in her sleep as she felt something poking her entrance from behind. The soft yet hard thing was rubbing on her core back and forth sending tingling sensations through her body.. She couldn’t help but gasp as her eyes fluttered open. Rita found that it was her husband who was spooning her and rubbing his shaft on her entrance. “Good morning my love,” Chris whispered when he noticed that Rita had woken up. He grabbed her breast and massaged it roughly, while his other hand played with her clit. “Mmmm... morning,” Rita moaned as her eyes fluttered shut. Reveling in the feeling of being woken up in style. The electrical currents coursing through her made her core clench with need. She tilted her head upwards and Chris immediately smashed his lips on hers. Not caring that they had just woken up. He kissed her passionately, pouring all his love into the kiss, wanting Rita to know just how much he loved her. Rita gasped the
“Babe, I’m sorry, I couldn’t stop myself. I just got so angry and acted on impulse,” Rita said as she placed her head on Chris’s shoulder as they sat in the back seat of his Maybach, going to the villa. “It’s okay my love. I’ll protect you no matter what,” came Chris’s reply. “I know you will.” By the time they reached the villa, it was already 6 pm. Jasmine was seated in the sitting area watching TV. Despite having a TV in her room. “Good evening bro, sis. How’s been your day?” Jasmine said the moment Chris and Rita walked through the entrance. “Evening Jasmine, our day was okay, and what about yours? What did you do today?” Rita replied. “It was okay, I was trying to draft some designs but lacked inspiration so I stopped and hoped something would come up later. Nothing did,” Jasmine said, looking down while playing with her fingers. She was in a large white t-shirt with black leggings and pink fluffy house slippers on her feet.
When Rita walked out of the police station, her eyes were red and puffy from all the crying she had done inside. It took a while for her to come out because she didn’t know how to face Chris who had been waiting for her outside. She had a lot of questions in her mind. ‘Why did Chris do what he did?’ ‘What were his plans?’ 'Does he love me for real?' Rita’s heart ached when she thought about how the man she had come to love and trust had been lying to her all along. And she was stupid enough to fall for it. Again. “Not anymore,” she muttered to herself as she walked to the parking lot. Rita found Chris perched on the side of his car, waiting for her whilst scrolling on his phone. He looked up when he sensed her approaching and smiled warmly. ‘Is that smile fake too?’ Rita thought inside her head as sharp pains tugged at her heart. “How did it go, babe?” Chris asked the moment Rita reached the car.
It was later in the evening and Chris had just come back from work. Since Rita had knocked off early, he decided to stay back at the office and work overtime on some projects. When he entered the master bedroom, he found Rita already asleep on the bed, facing the other side. With just one glance, Chris could tell that she was pretending to sleep. He shook his head and went to freshen up in the bathroom. After the much-needed hot shower, he climbed into the bed and moved closer to Rita, wrapping his arms around her. He noticed that she tensed but he didn’t let go. Chris had found out why she was upset with him. She had found out about what he did in the beginning and he blamed himself for not coming clean earlier. He wished he didn’t hide anything from her, now she was giving him the silent treatment. They didn’t even text today like they always did. Making him look glum the whole day. He vented his anger on the poor directors during the meetin
“Um… guys?” Glenda called out to the couple shamelessly kissing in the hallway hesitantly after snapping out of her daze. They had been at it for five minutes now and it was kind of getting out of hand with Chris squeezing Rita’s ass, making her moan. Glenda had to stop them before they started making babies in front of her door. “Guys? Um.. ok.. I’ll just.. I’ll be inside the house in case you look for me.” Glenda said awkwardly, motioning with her thumb towards the sitting area as she went back inside the house. Meanwhile, gasps and heavy breathing were the only sounds that could be heard in the hallway as Chris kissed Rita passionately. There was a hint of a dangerous hunger and desperation in that kiss. He had been on edge the whole day as he waited for her to go back home. To make matters worse, she wasn’t answering her phone or replying to his messages. Chris had never been so afraid to lose someone in his life. His wealth be damned, lif
In a VIP ward at the general hospital, Maria Stevens lay on the hospital bed with an IV connected to her arm, delivering fluids to her body. Her husband Michael Stevens sat by her bedside holding her hand. Maria chuckled at her husband’s nervous expression. Her eyes fluttered and she said, “you don’t have to look so scared. It’s not like I’m dying.” “Stop saying that. You don’t know how afraid I was when you suddenly collapsed. Now you have to be admitted for a few days.” Michael said. He had been watering the garden at the mansion when some maids suddenly told him that his wife had fainted. He had gotten the biggest scare of his life. Maria may be talkative but she loved him and stayed with him through thick and thin. Even if they were now old, he still didn’t want to lose her. “Oh dear, look at your face. I’m fine. It’s nothing.” Maria said, trying to lift her husband’s mood. Michael Stevens was about to say something when the door w
Rita was rushing to finish up her work in the office before lunch break. She wanted to rush to the supermarket, buy fruits then head to the hospital to visit Maria, her mother-in-law. While she was busy with her work, Rita heard her phone chime. A few seconds later, it started ringing. She grabbed the phone to check who was calling and when she saw that it was Collins the private investigator, she answered the call. “Hello.” “Hello, good morning Miss Jones. I have just sent you some pictures. It’s evidence of Eric Thompson’s wife’s infidelity. I still haven’t been able to find solid evidence on Eric though. But he seems to be in contact with some wanted criminals. There’s a lead I'm following.” “What do you think he could be doing with those criminals? Is he doing something illegal? We need a lot of dirt on him. I want him to rot in jail,” Rita said as she tightened her hold on the phone. “I don’t think that’s the case. He used to sell
Christopher Stevens had been meticulously going through the company’s statistics when he received a call from his mother urging him to pay her a visit at the hospital. Worried, that her blood pressure might go up again, he quickly grabbed his car keys and drove to the hospital. To his dismay, he found Lydia Jacobs in his mother’s ward. Maria immediately perked up when she saw her son walk through the door. “Chris, look who’s here to visit me. Isn’t she a wonderful woman? Lydia, say hi to Chris.” Maria said when Chris stood next to her bed, a frown was now etched on his face as he stared at his mother accusingly. “Hi, Chris.. it’s been a while,” Lydia said in a sickeningly sweet voice. “Hmmm,” was all Chris could say. He was on the verge of losing his cool. If it wasn’t for his mother’s presence, he would have left already. “Wow, look at you two. You look good together—” “Where’s dad and Jasmine, mom?” Chris asked, cutti
