Chapter 29

I have a bad feeling about it.

Few steps away from the house, I saw how people were crowding in front of our veranda. My heart thumped nervously as my thoughts immediately flew to Florian. Did something bad happened to him again?

I hurriedly ran towards them, Andrew and Dea was one of the faces I recognized from the crowd. Their heads turned to me in panic before they ran to meet me halfway. 

"Nina!" 

"W-what's happening?" I stuttered nervously. Dea got into me first, she held my forearm with shaky hands.

"J-jack... Jack was sent to the hospital!"

"What? W-what the hell happened?!" 

I reflexively move back out of the pathway, the rest of them followed. Did he hurt his head again and fainted after getting his memories triggered? This has happened multiple times already but the fear in my chest stays the same. In fact, it always feels like the first time! 

"His head was bleeding-"

"What?!"
