~Serena~

As a werewolf, everything around me is heightened. The throbbing lights, the raving music, the echo of the bass on the floor, the scent of alcohol, sweat, smoke, and sex, especially the unhinged atmosphere permeating the air of the club. This is the last place I would be. In fact, I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for something much bigger than my peace of mind.

I don’t know how Lucas did it, but Declan and I waltzed through security like the calmest flow of the river. No questions asked. We were treated like regular folks who would enter Club Haze just to get off some steam.

“Why are you two using comms, anyway?” Lucas asked through the tiny earpiece slotted in my ears. “Aren’t shifters supposed to have a mind connection to each other?”

I have yet to ask Declan how Lucas knows so much about our kind. It was the least important thing on his mind right now, but he knows a lot, that’s for sure.

“We are not from the same pack,” Declan answered. Lucas blew a sultry ‘oh’ as a respo

  • Forever Yours, Alpha   72|With A Purpose

~Serena~Lia’s declarations were almost comical, a pathetic punchline she sells for a thousand bucks per seat at her not-so-comedic bar.Gerald? He planned all of this? I knew he hated Declan; he hated me; in fact, he hated the entire world, but I didn’t perceive his hate could be this destructive. But circling back into the past, Lia’s words made little sense. If Gerald wanted to be a Rogue Alpha, wouldn’t Oliver know about this?Despite my hatred for Oliver, I still recognize his wisdom and judgment as Alpha. A sin like what Lia painted Gerald had committed wouldn’t slip from someone of Oliver’s caliber. And then, something Lia said when she saw me made sense. She knew I was alive. If her accusations about Gerald are true, he already knows I am alive. He’d known for a while now, and there’s a huge possibility that he knows I am here with his son.I hoist my gaze to Lia, eyes wide and worried. “They know we’re here.”Lia’s face turned somber as the echo of hurried footsteps, a sicken

  • Forever Yours, Alpha   71|Think About It

~Serena~The grunt of Declan’s hands as he clenched them rang through the storage room.“You knew she was alive?” his voice vibrated with fury, the kind that would make any wolf bow down to an alpha, tail tucked between their legs and whimpering in fear. But Lia, despite being a rogue, merely lifted her chin and stared Declan in the eye.“I heard rumors…” her eyes slanted, “when you threw me out on a death sentence a.k.a. a mission to find the Lycan who could resurrect the dead.”Declan took one step forward. His shoulders were wide, a cobra preparing to strike. “You didn’t care to tell me about it? I don’t think we still need to ask her, Serena. Her intentions are loud and clear.”Lia pushed off from the stack of empty beer cases she was sitting on, her loose clothes falling down her body like a curtain. “You don’t get to use that tone on me after what you did,” she growled, spitting out her next words. “You sent me to die!”Declan’s breath came in short huffs. Lia was important to h

  • Forever Yours, Alpha   69|Unwelcoming Committee

~Serena~A newfound tranquility permeated the air inside the SUV.I slid a glance in the rearview mirror. Nala watches the city from the window like a child pondering what she wants to be when she grows up. She wasn’t jumping on her paws when Marquee allowed her to leave his prison, but her eyes were glowing, admiring Fallon City with expectant eyes. I wonder where she came from, how she ended up in the hands of a guy like Marquee.“Thank you,” I murmured, turning to Declan, “for getting her out of there.”“I did it for both of you,” Declan replied. “If I didn’t do it, I know you’d draw blood.”I snickered, accepting that he mumbled the truth. “You’re getting to know me again, huh?”Declan chuckled, peeking over at me without offering a reply.“What?” I asked. He shook his head, a flash of sadness crossing his face. Somehow, I knew what was running through his mind. We were only four days away from the next full moon, and I still don’t know what to do.“Where are we going?” I asked, d

  • Forever Yours, Alpha   68|Marquee

~Declan~We could smell him the moment we slid out of our car. He reeked of rotten garbage and a decaying body. Serena paused in front of our car, waiting for me to stand by her side. In a usual setting, a rogue would be alarmed in having an alpha in his proximity, but this one grinned wider when he saw us… when he saw me.Serena reached for my hand, lacing our fingers together as she squeezed mine. This rogue is no ordinary rogue. Serena knew he could hear us from this distance, and using words would be dangerous. She isn’t terrified, but guarded. There was a sense of danger drifting in the air, and she could feel it too.“See?” Mario piped in as we climbed the steps up onto the porch. “I told you I saw the ghost, Bossman.”Ghost?Serena maintained her composure, showing no hint of panic before our host.Marquee pushed off from his seat, offering his hand for a shake. At this proximity, I was already getting dizzy from his rotten scent. My instinct is to rip off his head and be on m

  • Forever Yours, Alpha   67|Soon Enough

~Serena~Declan rolled down the window once I was decent, physically at least. My dress was in place, my seatbelt secured around my waist, but my panty is soaked, my nipples ached, my clit was pulsating, and my mind was a flurry of questions.“Did you change your mind?” Mario asked, his frown crinkling his forehead.“No,” Declan was perfectly calm and collected. If Mario were a shifter, he’d smell my scent streaming out from the car towards the window, and he’d hear my pounding heart. “I had to make a call.”‘Call my ass,’ I thought, ‘or should I say call of my pussy?’Oh, my god. Did I just think that? I snort, turning towards the window to hide my smile. There was a pause, as if Mario was dubious about Declan’s response. I didn’t bother looking his way because he might catch the idea that Declan did not scroll on his phone, but on my body. What? Serena! Stop thinking dirty thoughts.“If you would follow me,” Mario said curtly, still unconvinced by Declan. “And no funny business. We
