my mom's voice filtered into my room as the door swung open.
"Liam, I thought you told me Shelly was staying over for dinner, so why did I see her leaving?" She asked, holding the door knob with her left hand while glancing suspiciously on my waistline as I buckled my belt before raising my head to give her a searching stare. I couldn't tell exactly what was running through my mom's mind, but I was sure she knew somehow that I and Shelly had sex during her absence."Well she changed her mind mom" I answered bluntly and moved towards the sofa to pick up the t-shirt I removed earlier."And why?" My mom asked, giving me an inquisitive look while I hurriedly wore my shirt."I dunno mom" I answered immediately with a shrug and turned to face my mom who was wearing a frown; even she could tell that I was trying to hide something from her."She didn't just want to stay and it's fine -- I don't care!" I exclaimed with my voice slightly raised before walking past my mom as I came out of my room."Is it something you said to her?.. because she stormed out of this house looking very upset Liam" my mom called out to me in a stern but concerned voice, quickly closing my room door and followed behind me as I walked towards the palour. My mom's constant inquisition was slowly beginning to annoy me; I mean, what difference would it make if I told her?!So I halted my steps halfway to the palour and turned to face my mom, narrowing my gaze at her and said "Mom, I sincerely appreciate your concern -- but I seriously don't feel comfortable with you prying to my personal issues, especially when it has to do with Shel...""Prying?" My mom cut in sharply, interrupting my response with a sarcastic scoff before leveling her stern gaze at me. "I'm your mother for goddam sake, so don't tell me what I should know and what not to know!" She yelled to my face, sounding really upset with both hands swaying in the air as she spoke. But I wasn't in the slightest of chance ready or willing to give her a response - no! Rather, I felt like going out to get some fresh air, just anywhere I could go to clear my head for a bit because I felt faint and drained of energy. So without muttering a single word, I turned and left my mom - walking hastily towards our palour door."Where are you going to now Liam?" My mom's voice called out loudly behind me from where she stood, but this time with a concerned tone - almost as though she felt remorseful after yelling at me."I'll see you later when am back mom" I answered plainly the moment I opened the door before closing it gently behind me as I came out of the house - not waiting to hear what my mom's response was going to be.Then I stood for a brief moment in front of our house entrance - staring blankly at the distance ahead while inhaling deep breaths to calm my tensed nerves.'Andrew... I should give him a call' I thought to myself with a pondering nod of my head before removing my phone to dial Andrew's number.Andrew has been my childhood best friend for years now, ever since we were in high school. We were like brothers from different mothers, doing almost everything together; although my mom started disapproving of my friendship with him as we grew older - blaming Andrew of misleading me into some bad habits she'd normally tag as 'wayward!'"Yo bro... Urrm, where are you at?" I said quickly over the phone when Andrew answered my call."Man just chilling, am at this bar down Allen avenue street - waiting for my girl." Andrew chuckled over the phone in response. I could tell he was tipsy by the slur of his voice."Grim and Bob's bar?" I blurted rhetorically when I recalled passing a bar along Allen avenue few days ago with that name."Yea sure... That's the name, anything?" Andrew exclaimed over the phone and asked."Great!... Just what I need right now" I retorted with my voice sounding much relieved. "Errm... Listen bro, I'll be there in a bit" I concluded."You bet" Andrew laughed over the phone before hanging up the call. So I shook my head amusingly after our call and put the phone back into my pocket before walking hurriedly towards the main road - rubbing my palms vigorously as the evening air was gradually becoming chilly.******FEW HOURS after arriving at Grim and Bob's bar, I and Andrew had some glass of tequila drink as we sat on a high stool near the serving counter - chatting about various subjects like how our weekend went, to the ladies we've screwed this week -- which led to me revealing to him the argument I and Shelly had."Seriously man... It was just a fu*king word." Andrew laughed hard as he made jest of me not being able to tell Shelly I loved her. "If I were you, I would have just told her I loved her and get on with it... Now you've lost a fine ass girl, ooof!" He added with an amused shake of his head before taking a sip of his drink."Well, there seems to be plenty of other beautiful girls around... She's not the only one. And besides, I don't in any way love her -- not even the slightest bit" I chuckled sarcastically with a faint shrug of my shoulder - picking up my glass cup to take a sip of my drink. Then Andrew quickly slammed his glass of drink on the serving table and patted me twice on my left shoulder as if trying to get my attention which he did because I instantly turned my head to look at him."Urrrr... I gotta go. My girl just arrived -- catch you later" He said hastily, clearing his throat halfway as he spoke before standing up to leave."Well, have fun!" I teased jokingly as I turned on my stool to face my friend Andrew who staggered lightly as he walked to meet a girl that was standing near the bar entrance, waiting for him to approach before they left with his left hand wrapped behind her waist.'I bet he's going to have a blissful night' I chorused amusingly in my head as I turned back to face my drink. Then suddenly, I felt a strong wave of remorse when the thought of Shelly trickled into my mind."Did she really mean what she said that we were done?" I muttered cluelessly to myself as I pulled out my phone from my right pocket and dialled her line - placing the phone on my right ear as it began to ring. Then I heaved a deep sigh when it stopped ringing and took me to her voicemail."Well, she wasn't joking" I exhaled sharply with my eyebrows raised before dropping my phone on top the table. Then I picked up my glass and gulped hard on the remaining drink in it before slamming it back on the table as I swallowed - squinting my eyes from the biting effect of the alcohol as it slid down my throat."Oooooff!... Here you go" I said, giving the bartender a courteous nod while dropping my money underneath the glass cup before standing up to leave the bar.I stood outside in front of the bar entrance few minutes after coming out - rubbing my palms and blowing warm breaths from my mouth on them. It was about 8pm in the night with everywhere seemingly dark, except for some few street lights that shone to illuminate the environment. The night was seriously cold with the chilly air stinging my skin - making me regret wearing this light t-shirt which did little to keep me warm. Then I raised my right hand and quickly lowered it down again, just as I was about halting a taxi when I heard a man who stood few metres beside me - speaking with someone over the phone. His conversation truly got my attention as I couldn't help myself but approach him the moment he ended his call..."Good evening sir" I greeted in a polite voice as I gradually brought myself to a halt and stood beside the man who dipped his phone back into his pocket and slowly turned to face me. "Yes good evening" He responded, giving me a questioning stare while placing both hands into his trouser pocket, as if shielding them from the biting cold; it was the winter season and the night during this period was always cold. I could tell from the man's casual outfit and expensive shoe that he was an up and doing fellow - someone who was financial stable and in his late 40's. Whatever I was about saying to him had better be well constructed as I was looking to make a good impression. So I cleared my throat briefly - wearing a courteous smile on my face and said to the man "Please pardon my intrusion, but I overheard you speaking on the phone that you were in need of someone who could work for you in taking care of the lawn in your house" "Yeah sure, I am looking for someone for that... Wait" The
"That will be my dad" Chloe chuckled softly and was about turning to go call her dad when she heard his fast paced footsteps gradually approaching behind towards our direction. "Oh! here he comes" Chloe said to me in a low voice and shifted, giving her dad more room as he came and stood in front of me - dressed in a finely fitted black suit and holding a briefcase. Then he switched the briefcase to his left hand and extended his right hand to me for a handshake, saying "Liam, so glad you could make it before I leave for work." "Yes... And I must say, you look good sir" I replied with a courteous tease - glancing briefly at Chloe who stood beside us with a friendly smile on her face."Well thank you" Mr Williams said as we retreated our hands - adjusting his tie while giving me a purposeful look. "So as for the job, I'll like you to..." I gradually lost attention to what Mr Williams was saying when my gaze drifted to look at Chloe who left us and moved into the house with her curv
"What's up Liam... Am on my way to your house" Andrew's voice rang into my ear from my phone's earpiece. "Uh... No don't!" I exclaimed sharply. "Why? -- or wait... You have some chick around and you don't want me to ruin your show right?" Andrew chuckled over the phone. Then I shook my head amusingly and said in a playful tone "Seriously bro, can you ever stay a day without thinking of ladies huh?""Okay okay" Andrew replied in between his laughter before clearing his throat and said. "So what are you up to?""Nothing much... Just went out early for a job interview" I answered with a wide grin on my face - turning around slowly before leaning my butt on the wooden table inside the garage."Woa!... Tell me, have you gotten a job and when are you starting?" Andrew asked over the phone with his voice sounding very surprised. "Hm-mm" I hummed softly with a nod of my head. "And I've started today... Infact, I was about working before your call came in" I added in a hearty voice - turnin
.. biting the wall of my stomach. I arrived at home few minutes later and went straight to meet my mom who was at the dinning room - dusting the table with a dry clothe when she suddenly raised her gaze and noticed me approaching."Honey, you look so exhausted" My mom said as she stood erect to face me the moment I came closer, standing at the opposite end of the dinning table."Good afternoon mom" I heaved in a low breathless voice - pulling an empty chair back before collapsing on it to sit."You must be hungry, let me go get your lunch" My mom said with a soft smile - placing her left hand under my chin before moving past me for the kitchen to get a plate of whatever she must have prepared. "Here you go" her voice sounded the moment she returned into the dining room, leveling a plate of food with a glass of water on the table in front of me before sitting down on an empty chair closer to mine. My tummy rumbled hungrily when the aroma of the beans filled my nose as I inhaled - l
Then she immediately stood up from the table and reached out to hold my left hand, saying "Follow me""Okay" I agreed cluelessly, following behind Chloe who pulled me along as she walked out of the garage entrance and headed straight towards the back of their enormous house - a section I had never ventured into; making me wonder why she never included the area on my first day when her dad Instructed her to show me around."Here we are" Chloe said in a low but cheerful voice and let go of my hand as we came to a stop; standing to face a brown coloured portable playhouse that could contain not less than 3 persons in it. "Wow... It's -- it's lovely" I exclaimed in a somewhat startled tone, glancing briefly at Chloe who stood by my left side with a wide grin on her face."I know right" she giggled rhetorically with both hands clamped below her tummy in excitement. Although it wasn't quite what I expected her to show me, yet I was still glad by the fact she did which meant she was beginni
'Hi... Can we meet?' Was the message she sent to me.So I shook my head and gave out a sarcastic scoff while placing my phone back Into my pocket before walking towards the main road ahead to get a cab. I ARRIVED home few minutes later and noticed my mom dressed, busying around the palour like she was preparing to go out. "Mom... You look -- what should I say, stunning" I chuckled in a teasing voice as I entered the house, shutting the palour door gently behind me while my gaze remained fixed at my mom who stood erect with a wide grin on her face. She was literally glowing - almost as though she was excited about something. "Are you going ou... Wait! -- Is it what I think it is?" I gasped sharply with an amused look as I moved forward and stood in front of my mom who was dressed in a black gown which hung nicely over her shoulders - revealing her mature and elegant features. My mom wasn't all that advanced in age; infact, she was only 45 years and still looking very attractive en
she leaned in and kissed me hard that all I could do was respond to it by placing my right palm gently on her thighs. Her skin was so plump it sent a shiver of nervousness down my spine with her laps slowly parting from my gentle touch as I teasingly traveled my fingers up her thighs to reach for the satin textured pant she was wearing underneath. "Hurrr... Mmm" Chloe's gasping moan trickled into my mouth with her lips opening halfway in ecstasy - unable to continue kissing me as my fingers began to play, rubbing gently over her pant which slowly began to feel damp with every touch!"Oh Chloe" i whispered in a passionate and somewhat breathless voice as my lips roved - planting soft kisses on her chin down to her neck that got her whole body quavering lightly. Then as if loosing herself to pleasure, she lowered her lips to the side of my face and used her teeth to nib on my right ear - sending a sharp pinching pain that tickled me. I found it very romantic when she did that, which on
Then I took out the phone from my pocket when I heard it beep. It was a message from Andrew and it read: '[Still waiting for the photo bro]'I heaved out a deep sigh - biting my lower lip in confusion before switching off my phone when I came to a final resolve. I like what was going on between I and Chloe -- and I wasn't able or willing to jeopardise it for anything, not even for my best friend Andrew! So I placed the phone beside my pillow and closed my eyes, thinking of a possible reason to give to Andrew for not sending the photo when I fell into a deep sleep. *****I was woken the following day to the sounds of birds chirping outside the playhouse and the slow movement of someone's hands on my bare chest. "Hmmm" I gave out a sleepy grunt as my eyes gradually opened - squinting and blinking hard to clear my vision which was a bit blurry. "Good morning" Chloe whispered to my face and gave me a quick peck on the lips as she laid beside me with her face over mine which made me won
