Chapter XLIII
Danielle was not able to get a full night's sleep. She could hardly get Lucas out of her thoughts. It was like she could not stop worrying unless she sees that he was okay with her own eyes.
"Good morning, Dana," Miriam went to her room to wake her up.
"Good morning, Auntie," she greeted back while yawning.
"Tabitha and Jio are coming over today," she said while pulling the curtains to let sunlight in. "I know you'd want to see them."
"Really?" she asked excitedly. She was busy worrying about Lucas, she forgot about visiting Tabitha.
It must be a good thing to see them today. After all, she was not sure if she could stay there longer.
"Yes, so get up and take a bath. Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes," Miriam helped her got up from bed.
She gave her a pair of new crutches as well.
"Thank you, Auntie," though she wished that she wasn't going to need it sooner.

Danielle looked at her injuries in the mirror. Her right arm suffered a long and deep stab wound.
