It had been a week.
Danielle hadn't returned to her usual self since coming back from the island. Even if she would deliberately busy herself with loads of work, her mind would drift back to the short-lived happiness she had with Lucas.
Why was life so unfair? Just when she thought she would finally get a taste of true happiness, reality would come slapping her in the face.
Did Lucas really love her? Why didn't he come to explain to her?
'You left, Danielle,' her mind reminded her.
Hadn't she left, would Lucas come to her that time to tell her it was her he chooses?
But no matter what, the truth didn't change. He didn't try to explain because he chose Olivia.
