Mag-log inNoah's POV
I have been standing in front of the hospital since this morning.I do not even know when I got here. The sun is high in the sky now. My feet still have not moved inside.I just stand there staring at the entrance. People keep coming and going nonstop. They all look like they have somewhere important to be. Everyone except me.My hands are in my hoodie pockets, fingers clenched together. There iNoah's POVMy eyes were moving back and forth looking for anything. One person who had been on my mind since earlier.Aunt Emily.I did not even know why I wanted to avoid her. It just felt natural. After a while I stopped in front of the room with the number as before.I looked through the glass window in the door. It was quiet. Rachel was the one inside. She was sitting on the bed facing the window. Her shoulders were a little slumped. Her hands were just resting in her lap. From where I was I could tell she looked bored. Maybe she was just tired.I took a breath before opening the door slowly. The sound made her turn around away and when our eyes met she looked surprised."Noah?" Her voice was quick. "Why are you here?"I closed the door behind me before answering. "I just wanted to make sure Rachel was okay."I walked closer to the bed
Noah's POVI have been standing in front of the hospital since this morning.I do not even know when I got here. The sun is high in the sky now. My feet still have not moved inside.I just stand there staring at the entrance. People keep coming and going nonstop. They all look like they have somewhere important to be. Everyone except me.My hands are in my hoodie pockets, fingers clenched together. There is this feeling I can’t explain. It is hesitation.Should I go in?bShould I not?Rachel is doing better. At least that is what I last knew. I made sure the doctors were treating her. So there is no reason for me to be here.Yet I still can’t leave. The image of Rachels face from night keeps replaying in my head. Her cheeks were flushed. Her breathing was uneven. She tried to pretend she was fine.
Sienna's POV Sometimes Liam would lend a hand. He'd hand me containers, seal the food and even clean parts of the kitchen that were getting messy.“I'll help." I'd just nod. I didn't have the energy to say no.We worked in silence. This time it was a different kind of silence.Calmer and More focused.Eventually everything was almost done.I closed the container and looked at all the food lined up on the counter.A lot. Maybe too much. I didn't care.As long as it was enough. As long as he wouldn't go hungry.I let out a breath. My hands shook a bit. Not from being tired. From nerves.I was going to see him. One hour.I looked at Liam.“We should go." I said quietly. He nodded. For the first time since m
Sienna’s POVAs soon as we got home I did not give myself time to sit down. I carried the grocery bags into the kitchen and pulled out the ingredients one by one. I had eggs, chicken, meat, vegetables and fruit. Within minutes the kitchen counter was completely covered.I took a breath. There was no time to stop. I started immediately.Water ran from the faucet as I quickly washed the ingredients. My hands moved automatically. The knife got to work, chopping vegetables, slicing meat, cracking eggs. The sounds of the kitchen usually felt comforting. Now they sounded like a race against time.Every now and then my eyes drifted toward the clock. It was still morning.. Time felt like it was moving far too quickly. I only had one chance to see Noah from twelve to one. One hour. I did not want to waste a second of that time because I was not ready.I turned on the stove, one burner, two three at
Sienna's POV Liam looked at me flatly.“You haven’t even showered.”“I can be quick.”He shook his head lightly with a quiet laugh.“Come on,” I said again. “We need to go now.”He at last let out a breath before slowly getting up.“Alright.”I didn't wait for him. I quickly turned and walked out of a room.My mind was full of all the stuff we had to get.Healthy grub. Simple things to munch. Stuff that can help him get back his power.I had already imagined it all.Making him eat. Feeding him myself if I had to.Since this time I wasn’t going to just stay quiet. I didn’t mind if he got mad. I didn’t mind if he said no.What was important is that he ate. That he kept strong. And that he didn’t hurt himself anymore,A few minutes later, we were ready. I stood by the front door waiting for Liam, g
Sienna's POV Morning came too quickly.I didn’t even feel like I had really rested. The moment I opened my eyes, the first thing that came to mind again was Noah.I quickly got out of bed. I couldn’t just stay there any longer.I walked into the kitchen and opened a fridge. Then I froze and emptied. Not fully bare, but there was nothing good enough. Nothing that felt right for Noah. How had he been eating all this time? Was he eating properly? Or just eating whatever he could find?A sick feeling settled in my chest again.“No."I moved my head from side to side. This can't keep going in this way.I closed the fridge fast, spun around, and went back to the room.Liam was still asleep.I walked over. Gently shook his arm.“Liam."He let out a groan, still half asleep.“Sienna?"
Sienna's POV The morning sky was soft and slightly cloudy, but the sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating a warm glow on the house's exterior. The scent of jasmine from a pot on the porch, the sound of trickling water from the small pond, and the breeze that felt like memories w
Sienna's POV The entire room was in my peripheral vision as I looked around. When I thought about it, it was either the nights when I cried in the corner of the bed, trying to keep my pain at bay or the long hours spent writing. It was a very distant but close experience.I locked my sui
Sienna's POV From time to time, I heard birdsong drifting in from outside the window, blending with the steady ticking of the wall clock. Amidst it all, I realized just how easily I could grow used to moments like this. How easy it was to want to believe that all the old wounds could heal si
Liam's POV There was another long silence. I never attempted to fill it. I desired to provide her with the opportunity to unwind and gather herself. She finally gave a soft, “thank you, Liam. For taking care of him. For making him laugh today." Closing my eyes I cracked a smile, “th
