Abby's POV

I blinked. “Special?”

He nodded. “Yes. Maybe something you can't get within the pack.”

That's funny. I tilted my head and held my chin trying to think of something.

Yeah. I remembered my favourite combo. “Fries and vanilla ice cream”

“What?” Both Hayden and Alex chorused.

“That sounds gross.” Alex said.

“Hmmm. You're wrong. Even Alpha Edward loves the combo.” I said pouting dramatically.

Hayden shrugged and asked Alex to branch to a reputable human restaurant. I insisted we eat it there and we all ordered the same thing.

Alex threw Hayden a quick glance. “We're not doing that, are we?”

But Hayden kept a straight face. “Let’s all try it out. Might not be that bad.”

Alex gave a dry chuckle.

We all headed to their VIP section and sat with our fries and vanilla ice cream. Hayden and Alex kept exchanging glances, silently daring the other to take the first bite. I laughed and dipped a fry into the cream, then shoved it into Hayden’s mouth.

“Eeeww!” He pulled a face like I’d j

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Over My Dead Body

Abby’s POV I stared at Hayden like he’d spoken in a language I didn’t understand, searching his face for sanity.“Tell me why you hid my children from me, Abby,” he repeated, as if I hadn’t heard him the first time.“Which… children are you talking about?” I asked.“Amy and Asher,” he said, his tone deadly serious. My chest tightened. Was he serious? Or completely unhinged?“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I said firmly. “And if you’ll excuse me, I have something important to do inside.”Before I could turn away, he held out a paper. “This proves it.”I hesitated before taking it and unfolding it. The DNA results stared back at me. Color drained from my face.I looked up at him, fury clawing up my throat. “Really?” I snapped. “You had the audacity to run a paternity test on my children?”“Mine too,” he growled, his voice low but trembling with fury. “You lied to me, Abby. The twins are mine, my blood. Do you have any idea what it feels like to discover you have children who

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Why Did You Hide Them?

Hayden’s POV I didn’t plan it.Didn’t rehearse the words or decide how I’d say them. I just found myself driving to her restaurant, my grip tight on the wheel as my vision blurred, no matter how hard I fought them.Everything I thought I knew had just collapsed in a single breath.I had children…and they had grown up without me. I hadn’t witnessed their first steps, their first words. Abby must have hated me, carrying the weight of raising two children alone while I lived my life unaware. But… she lied to me.I asked her. I asked her that morning if I’d slept with her, and she denied it. Why would she lie? What had I done to deserve having my own children hidden from me?“Move,” I snarled, hitting the horn when a car ahead crawled along. It didn’t.I slammed my hand against the steering wheel, the horn blaring as I leaned forward. “Get the hell out of my way before I crush you.”The car finally lurched forward, fleeing as if instinct warned it to run.Alex sat quietly beside me, not

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    I’m Fucked

Hayden's POV For a split second, everything in me went cold when the scent hit my nose.Asher’s blood smelled like… mine.My fingers tightened around the bouquet as Derek’s words echoed in my head for what felt like the hundredth time. ‘Abby’s kids are yours.’They didn’t smell like my pups…but the blood. That scent was unmistakable. Impossible, unless—I paused.Ruby. She was a witch. She could have helped mask their scents.I mindlinked Alex sharply, my tone clipped and urgent. ‘Don’t forget what I asked you to find out about Abby’s twins. Asher’s blood smells like mine.”Alex stiffened and acknowledged through the mindlink.“Ruby… do something,” Abby cried, still clutching Jane by the collar, her hands shaking—fury and panic tangled together.Ruby shook her head, her expression strained. “I’m sorry, Abby. He’s too young. Healing magic is dangerous on children. I can’t risk it.”“Abby,” I said, stepping closer, “we need to take him to the hospital. He’s bleeding.”I’d already said

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    The Only Thing That Mattered

Abby’s POV I froze the moment my eyes locked with Hayden’s piercing blue ones. The door opened again, and Alex stepped in behind him, quiet and uncertain, like a man who didn’t know where he belonged anymore. Before I could react, Ruby moved. She stepped forward and planted herself firmly in front of them, her back to me, facing Hayden, and deliberately ignoring Alex as if he didn’t exist.I would be lying if I said I didn’t know the mate Ruby had mentioned before was Alex.I wasn’t slow-witted. The last time Alex, Brian and Hayden had shown up at my restaurant, I remembered clearly how Ruby had smiled when I walked in, leaned close, and whispered that he was the one. But the shock of seeing Hayden that day had shattered everything else. After that, I never brought it up again. Ruby didn’t either. I knew she was holding back for my sake, especially after realizing Alex was Hayden’s friend. She didn’t want to make things messier than they already were. Still, I couldn’t deprive her of

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Seeing Her Again

Hayden’s POV The meeting with the elders wasn’t going the way I wanted, but it was fair. They insisted on a proper investigation before any punishment could be decided. I understood their reasoning. Valentina was the mother of the pack’s heir, and there were customary rules meant to protect the heir’s future authority.“Fine,” I said at last, my gaze fixed on the elders seated before me. “But she remains in the dungeon until the investigation is completed.”“I don’t think that would be appropriate…” Elder Regan began.“Elder Regan,” I growled, slamming my fist against the table. The room fell silent.“If you insist on an investigation,” I continued, my voice carrying my full Alpha aura, “then she is not leaving the dungeon. That is my final word.”I rose from my seat before anyone could object and walked out of the meeting, Alex following silently behind me.When I got back to the house, Hayes’s nanny met me on the way. “Alpha, Hayes has refused to eat.”I arched a brow at her. “Re

  • Forsaken by the Moongoddess    Not Above Justice

Hayden's POV “What?!” I frowned, struggling to process her words. That made no sense. Maggie’s daughter had confirmed Abby pushed Marbel off the stairs. Abby knew that, that was why she fled. The maid’s voice cut through my spiraling thoughts. “Miss Abby pushed her, but she didn’t die then. It was Miss Valentina… she pressed a white handkerchief over Miss Marbel’s nose until she suffocated.”My blood ran cold. I stepped closer and grabbed the girl’s clothes, lifting her off the floor. “Why?” I ground out through clenched teeth. “Why are you only telling me this now?”“I’m sorry, Alpha… I was afraid,” the girl whispered. My head went haywire. “Afraid? Afraid of saying the truth?” I dropped her gently, seeing she was already choking back tears. “Did I ever mistreat you? Or did I ever punish anyone without cause?” I snarled.“No, Alpha…” she trembled.“Then why? Why didn’t you speak up and let everyone believe Abby killed her?”She sobbed silently. Then Maggie’s voice came softly, cau
