Ever since finding out that she’s pregnant, she cannot keep it to herself any longer. “Claire, we’re going to move back to mom’s house. Is that alright with you?” The tension inside the dining room was heavy as they ate dinner together as a family. Kai was eating silently, watching his food and not even sparing Ellyse a glance. It was almost as if he wasn’t surprised that she brought that up to Claire. “Is daddy coming with us?” The innocent girl croaked. He stopped fiddling with his utensils and lifted his head to look at Claire, then his eyes moved to her. “No, Claire. I have to take care of your grandma,” He stated before going back to eating. Meanwhile, she felt relieved that he answered for her. Obviously, she didn’t inform him about her plan to move out with Claire. Mentioning it on the dinner table was her way of informing him, after all—he’s still the father of her child. “Then I’ll take care of grandma too!” Claire said merrily.

“Happy birthday, Claire!” Agatha, who still had visible scars around her arms went to Claire’s birthday unannounced. The craziest part was, she isn’t even invited. Who the hell invited her? Was it Kai? Did he invite her without caring to tell Ellyse first? Agatha handed her gift to Claire wrapped in pink paper. Claire looked hesitant to embrace her at first because her mom was standing right behind her. “Go ahead, take it,” She urged her daughter. “Really mom?” She turned around to face her and she smiled to show her that it was really fine with her. “Agatha!” She immediately ran towards her, throwing her arms for a hug.
