Chapter 20

Emma calmed herself down and heaved a sigh. She also assured Miles of Damien being a nice person as not to scare him off. After convincing him to come downstairs, Emma and Miles both left the room and walked down the stairs towards the dining area.

They saw Damien sitting down and crossed his arms over his chest. Emma lowered her gaze and pulled Miles towards a seat next to hers and made him sit down. Emma took the seat next to his. Damien watched them intently and a small smile crept on his face. He felt like a family man with his wife sitting close to him. He wanted her to start eating with him at the dining table herein.
