Bellatrix Sinclair

In the darkened abyss, this white wolf was radiant – practically glowing like a beacon of hope. She rested her head on her paws; eyes closed like she was sleeping. An invisible force propelled me forward, the further I got – I realized we weren’t entirely alone.

This wolf blended with the night, unnoticeable unless you were close. Much bigger in contrast to her, softness in those pitch-black orbs as they focused on her. There was something familiar about this dark wolf, nudging his head gently against hers affectionately.

His gaze lifted to mine with equal tenderness. “Finally, you’re awake.”

My brows drew together in confusion, “Do you know me?”

I’m not sure how I can interpret his expression, clouded by desolation. “You will know me now, because of her.”

There was something beautiful about them unlike others I’ve encountered, gleaming with adoration.

“Who is she?” I asked curiously, flicking my gaze to our surroundings, “Where are we?”

Bellatrix SinclairHer ferocious eyes bore into mine; delicate features sharpened with murderous intent. “I’m not going to repeat myself, let him go.” She demanded, the strident tone in her voice showcasing her rage.“Nova.” Judah called softly, her name slipping like first descent of cherry blossoms in spring. “Don’t.”Nova’s jaw clenched, eyes blazing. “She will kill you; I saw her. She’s a ruthless killer; she is his second-in-command.” She spat the words like poison, pulsing her finger on the trigger. “You make one move to him, I’ll kill you.”Despite the barrel hovering between my brows, my heart didn’t stutter in the slightest beat until she flung these accusations at me. I gritted my teeth, a throbbing in my skull as my nostrils flared. My heart thundered with acrimony, echoing loudly in my ears. “Do you wanna know why I’ll kill him?” I snarled, breathing heavily as my eyes flashed with ire. “He betrayed my people; he betrayed his friends, he betrayed Lazarus. Bellatrix SinclairIre burned through my veins like acid as I flung Judah into my room. He stumbled a couple steps, visibly taken aback by my strength. My fingers curled tightly around the handle, banging the door shut and trapping us within these four walls.Judah stared, the tumultuous silence thundering in my ears. “What did you do?” I gritted out in question. He took in a deep breath, altering his features until his expression became impassive. “I don’t know what you talking about.”Lifting both my eyebrows, a chilling laugh slipping from my lips. “Are you really going to play that game?” I questioned with a clipped tone. “How do you explain yourself being here then?”His jaw tensed, eyes sizzling with tension. “Speak!” I commanded, my irises bursting with flames.“You..” Shock rippled through his body, eyes growing wide. “You have a wolf.”“That’s irrelevant.” I sneered; venom laced on my tongue. “Did you help Bjorn switch the weapons?”Judah’s features hardened to stone, not bot

Lazarus De LoughreyBlood descended from his busted lip; his face reddened as the first bruise started to bloom. His eyes flashed for a second before dimming, a coldness in his expression that didn’t garner any reaction which further fueled my rage.“Tell me!” I bellowed, eyes burning with vexation. “Fucking tell me!”“I have no idea what you are talking about.” He said blankly.Fury erupted in my chest like a volcano, pouring lava into my veins that ignited a buzzing under my skin, a violent tremor rushing through my body. “Do you think I’m the only one responsible for their deaths? Their blood is on your hands as much as mine.” I spat with disdain. His eyes flashed, specks of gold highlighting his despondency despite the abrasive tone he responded with. “I don’t know what you are talking about.”In a blink of an eye, my fingers curled around his throat in a punishing hold as I drove him into the wall with a force that almost shook the foundation of the walls. “You betrayed your own

Lazarus De LoughreyA new shipment of food and survival essentials were arriving today at the Port, another way to compensate for the losses of the people and the Kingdom. When I arrived, it was erased, leaving nothing in the wreckage aside from dust and death.Everything was destroyed, lives were taken once again.“Where are they?” I asked Christian, scanning the empty surroundings of rubble. His eyebrows drew together as he scowled. “According to the report, it’s a group of fifteen and they disappeared after the bomb went off.”Shaking my head and grinding my teeth, the incompetence stemmed from me and seeped into my people. “How did they not see it at the gates?” I gritted out, attempting to suppress the rage bubbling to the surface.Quelling this fire seemed impossible as I snapped, “We check everything that comes in!”“Clearly, they weren’t thorough.” Christian responded bitterly. He’s lucky I don’t punish him for such disrespect, restraining myself from unleashing my fury upon h

Lazarus De LoughreyMy brows furrowed, pulse spiking as I typed. “Who?”It roared in my ears like a thunderstorm, brewing in my chest like a deadly poison that burned from the inside. Bellatrix responded within five seconds. “I cannot say until I have proof. If you chose to do your own investigation, you will find the evidence faster than me.”I exhaled a sharp breath, every hair standing on edge as unease curdled in my chest. Bellatrix wouldn’t accuse anyone without evidence; however, the statement played on a loop. Within my trusted circle, a traitor was in the midst.Fire blazed in the path of betrayal that seemed to follow me. The traitors in my army stemmed from the traitor within my inner circle, I knew it made sense but the fact that it has taken me this long to establish the connection aggravates me.Banging my fist onto the table, an intense tremor rushing through me. This investigation needs to take place in

Bellatrix SinclairMy heart thundered in my chest, igniting a fire in my throat as I chased after him. He moved with impressive speed, distorting his figure into a blur. The mysterious man was familiar with the base, slithering into paths that I’ve never encountered. My lungs were on fire, a searing sensation wrapping around the muscles in my legs. The mysterious man didn’t turn around and that aggravated me further. While I had no evidence of his involvement, a gnawing in my gut told me otherwise. The previous encounter with Bjorn fueled me, anger and adrenaline becoming a potent drug as it buzzed in my veins.I desperately wanted to scream and let it tear my vocal cords when he dashed into a crowd, people dressed in black and scattered around us. It was a simple tactic of distraction, chances were slim that I’d catch him, but I was laser focused on destroying Bjorn that nothing was in my mind aside from this mysterious man.In a flash,

Bellatrix SinclairMy breaths faltered, choking on each inhale as I fought to breathe past the panic. A fierce tremor tore through me, goosebumps breaking out upon my flesh as guilt consumed every fragment of my soul. I’m haunted by the dead bodies, the scene playing on a loop so vividly that I can recall the scent of death and destruction. The explosion that caused death of millions, the consequences resulting in the backfire of the weapons that killed hundreds.A sharp pain pierced my mind, like a knife digging into flesh. Of the sixty members that participated in this ambush, only twenty returned. They rejoiced upon our return, declaring the mission a success and affirming the crumbling of Golden Kingdom.Their joyous shouts and screams fell on deaf ears, everything sounded like I was underwater, drowning in a sea of dead bodies with the putrid scent of blood filling my nostrils. Bjorn told us not to mourn their deaths, emphasizing that their sac

Lazarus De LoughreyFuck.I fisted my hands at my sides, attempting to control the rage bubbling through me. “What do you mean you didn’t sanction the evacuation.” I gritted in question, staring at The Syndicate hidden in the shadows.Donovan spoke, a sharp edge in his voice that turned to ice. “We cannot afford to scare the people more than they have already been. They need a semblance of normalcy until the next Luna is chosen.”Instantly I bit my tongue, metal taste of blood pooling in my mouth. I wanted to contest the appointment of a new Luna, but this issue came first.“I received a tip of a bomb being planted at the Central in the Golden Kingdom. We need to shut everything down.” I implored, frustration flaring in my voice. They hummed in unison, tinged with annoyance. “A tip.” one of the men chuckled like it was preposterous.Grinding my teeth, desperation curdled in my chest and spiked my pulse. “The people’s safety comes first.”“You are correct.” Donovan concurred. However,

Bellatrix SinclairApprehension coiled tightly in my chest, something eerie crawling upon my flesh as I watched them prepare for the ambush that was taking place in two hours. If I even flinch at the death of wolves, Bjorn will pick on it and realize that I’m not on his side.Bjorn allowed me access outside the base and that was the only time I’d email Lazarus. I tried to keep them vague, not giving too much of my identity away in case the emails were discovered. However, I couldn’t help but warn Lazarus, urging him to shut-down the Central. It was a peaceful place in the Golden Kingdom, filled with children’s laughter and loving families. My conscious will never be clean, I’ve accepted that. However, I won’t stand by and let innocent people die – on both sides.Hence why Bjorn comes to my side. “You don’t need to go with them. As Lieutenant, your job isn’t to follow them onto the field.” He declared, something cynical in his voice when she says, “You lead, you don’t risk your life.”
