Chapter 5 Mommy

"Drive." The boy said with a cold voice and the driver started the engine. Ten minutes ago, when the little boy rolled down the car window, he saw that a boy similar to his face went into a bakery so, he commanded to stop the car and watched them from far away.

And he usually cool aura turned into a gloomy one. He couldn't stand seeing their heartwarming behavior, so, he just decided to go back home.

"Liam, you are back." Liam Carson regretted coming back home when he heard the voice.

"Aunt Xiao has been waiting for you to come back and I prepared some chocolate cake for our Liam." Although Liam didn't greet her back, she didn't get angry and just tried to pester him.

Liam always knows that Sarah Xiao, his father's fiancée, is annoying and she would be his step mother after she married to his father but until now, she is not his step mother. And although Liam was also a smart person, he couldn’t understand the two adults.

Why his father hasn't marry her yet or why this woman is very clingy on his father when his father only gives her a cold shoulder. And it was okay if the woman is only clingy on his father but later, her direction turned to him and she pretended that she could be the best mother in the world if his father marries her.

Liam was okay at first with her existence beside his father but when Sarah Xiao tried to use him, he became dislike her. He dislikes fake people with hypocrite face. And he became angrier when his father was not at home but he let the woman to get into the house who is very noisy.

So, he went upstairs with a sullen face and got into his room and just locked himself. He lay on the bed and thought that he wanted a mom, a real caring mom, not like Sarah Xiao who is pretending to be a good mother.

And he also wandered why he doesn't have a mother. He asked his father about that but his father just kept silent. And he realized that his father is more persistent than him, so he gave up the idea of asking him where is his mother. And he fell asleep gradually.

In the evening, Edward Carson came back from the company and as soon as he stepped into the house, the maids told him that his son has locked the door and he looked like he was upset since he came back from outside.

And Edward asked the driver but the driver couldn’t recall anything so, he just answered that there was nothing wrong with his ride to the park.

So, Edward just took the spare key to his son's room and opened it. When he approached his son on the bed he saw that he was having a nightmare. Liam was sweating and he was in a heat too. So, Edward immediately told the maid to call the doctor. And when he looked back at his son, he noticed that he was mumbling something.

Edward couldn't hear clearly so he bent down and listened carefully. And an emotion of guilt covered his heart. It was his fault that he couldn't give his son a complete family. Edward realized that although his son, Liam, acted like he didn't care for family affection, he still called 'mom' in a daze. And he felt helpless about that too since he couldn’t make someone as his mother easily.

He always thought that Sarah Xiao would be the best candidate to become his mother but he couldn't accept her. Ever since, he had make out with the woman that night, he couldn't accept another woman. And even he is in his needs, he just thought about her body and her moans. And he couldn’t even understand himself that why he couldn't accept another woman anymore.

After a few minutes, a doctor came in examined Liam, and he give him some liquid medicine. Edward fed the medicine to his son personally and he coaxed his son to sleep again. Liam leaned on his father and asked, "Dad, where is my mother?"

Ethan just sighed and rubbed his hair dotingly, "Haven't we make it clear? Daddy have promised you that I will tell you when you are old enough to listen to it."

"Why can't you just tell like that?" Liam pouted.

"Okay, don’t think about that anymore. Sleep early, so that you don't need to take the medicine anymore."

"I am not afraid of taking the medicine but I like it."

"Why?" Edward was confused.

"Because it has strawberry flavor."

"Then why don't you just drink strawberry juice? "

"Because they are different. Anyway, I won't explain you anymore. You won't understand it. I am going to sleep." And Liam got out from his arms and lay on the pillow and turned his back to his father.

Edward was speechless. But he kept his company and he only left him after he made sure that Liam has fallen asleep.

But he regretted the idea of coming back to his room. He thought that he should just sleep in his son's room when he saw the woman with a lingering on his bed.

"Edward, are you tired? Let me message your shoulder." Sarah said with a seductive voice but Edward wasn't turn on. Instead of that he felt disgust.

"Miss Xiao, please wear something and leave the room." He said with a straight face,

"Edward, I am your fiancée and it is normal to have some close relationship before the marriage." Sarah got up from her sexy posture on the bed and she stepped to him seductively, step by step.

"Ethan, I would have thought that you can't do that kind of thing if I haven't seen your son who is identical to your face." And she pulled his neck tie and tried to make him angry. She is tired of his straight and cold face. She need some reaction even if it is just an anger.

But the man didn't get angry and grabbed her two hand, put a bathrobe on her body and pushed her out of the room. "Do you think that I would be interested in you when my son got treatment just a few minutes ago and how could you not feel guilty when he locked himself after you have annoyed him and he even needed to lock himself.

Sarah Xiao didn't expect for this result so, she couldn't keep herself calm anymore and she said with a vicious face, "Edward Carson, I have done everything to please you and I could even accept Liam just for your sake. Do you think that I would give up that easily? Believe it or not, I will everything to get you."
