Chapter 7 Are You Blind?

Ruby cried all her way back to home. Although, she endured every time, she couldn't hold back this time. Why life is so hard on her? Hasn't she suffered enough?

Why she had to be the one who always have to suffer? And Lucy was obviously the one who borrow the money but why should she pay back the money? And they took all her hard earned money.

She had been working hard ever since Larry was three months old because her little Larry has a poor health since he was born and his medical expenses cost a lot. And she didn't get any help from anyone. Everyone pretended that they couldn't see her hardship.

But she was still okay that they didn’t hand any helping hand but her aunt and her cousin couldn't stop their bully until now. She thought that after she helped them with the money that she got from becoming a surrogate, they would be grateful towards her but she didn’t expect that they would just simply forget about her kindness and continued to treat her as an enemy.

Ruby felt so heartbroken and she couldn't stop her tears when she thought about her empty bank account and penniless wallet. And her aunt has already taken all the money she got as a bonus for the surrogacy. And she was thinking what should she do when her little Larry would suddenly fall ill all of sudden. That leads her to cross the road without looking at the traffic light.

"Don't speed up the car. Our Boss had a hard time in the meeting." Mike said to the driver.

"Yes, assistant Hu." And the driver slow down the car and he continued, "Mr. Carson looks like he is really tired."

"Yes, he usually has three meetings a day which are two hours long for each and today has five meetings and there were only a few people who could reach Mr. Carson's satisfaction."

"If you two are finish talking. Be quite and let me take some rest." The deep voice appeared from behind and the two man on the driver seat and passenger seat shut their mouth.

Edward was closing his eyes and taking a short nap when the car suddenly used its brake and it led Ethan to woke up from his nap furiously.

And without listening any words from the driver or from his assistant who was just sitting beside him, he got out from the car and went to the woman who was sitting on the ground.

" Do you really want to die on the road? Are you thinking about asking for the compensation fees? Don’t even think about that. I might use all my money on hiring a lawyer but I will never give it to a liar like you. Or what? Are you a blind?" Ethan roared angrily without looking carefully at the woman.

Ruby was feeling depressed and she was upset at the same time because of her unfair fate and when she was scolded fiercely all of a sudden, she couldn't hold back her temper anymore and got up from the ground and pointed at his nose.

"So, what? Are you blind too? Which is bigger? A whole person or the sign? Can't you see that I am crossing the road. Can't you just stop your car for a minute? You have been driving the car and you have the energy to argue but I don't have. I have been working all day and all night and I have to take the bus but I never late for work. But look at me now, I was fired without anything. And all the rich men are bullshits like you. "

Ruby screamed all top of her lungs and she wasn't also paying attention to whom the man she was shouting at. Although she knows that she shouldn't argue with those rich men who could afford to drive such an expensive car

But when Ruby looked up at his face, Edward immediately remember who she is. She is none other than the woman he has been missing for six years. But it seems like the woman didn't recognize him.

"I… I …Let me compensate you then." Edward offered first. All his anger and tiredness disappeared at the moment he saw her face.

"Didn't you say that you would hire the best lawyer in the world? Go and find him. You don’t need to compensate me. Do you think that I am such a greedy and stupid woman? Do you think that I don’t know what type of tricks you are going to use?"

Edward raised his eyebrows. Well, he must say that she is really far different from that submissive type on that night. But he must also say that he also like this type too. Like a little wildcat who was throwing tantrum.

In Edward's life, he was never scolded that bad so, he didn’t know what to say and he was speechless. At that time, Edward's assistant also came down from the car and said, "Well, it is very obvious that you were the wrong one who broke the traffic law and you just got frightened and fall to the ground. So, if you still want to drag this case, we can call the traffic police immediately."

Ruby knows that she was the wrong one. "Who told you that I still want to drag this case. Your boss was the one who was scolding people even before I have got the chance to apologize. So, I will be leaving." Ruby said those words and disappeared into the crowds.

"When did you got the courage to interference into my matters?" Edward said to his assistant without looking at him. His assistant bowed down and apologized, "I am so sorry sir. But she is being too unreasonable."

Edward smirked and said, "Of course, I know that. That's why you must check her personal information thoroughly but it won't take you a lot of time since you might have her information six years ago but I need more details this time."

"Sir, what do you mean?"

"She is once the surrogate who carried my children."
