Chapter 2: Fated Mates

Six Months Later

Ty

I have been doing the books for the Kingdom and ensuring everything went smoothly and the townspeople were not hungry or scavenging for food. I had planned to visit Faeora as the twins' birthday was coming up and we were going to surprise them, however, there were important matters that I had to attend to, and was on my way to Alpha Seth's pack to find out why his taxes weren't paid. I don't like the Alpha but he was one of our subjects in the Kingdom and we had to deal with them whether we liked it or not. I was on horseback and when I got there, he let me in on his pack land, I had two other warriors with me and we were invited to the pack house to discuss matters. Seth had quite a few omegas working for him but they seemed to look malnourished, I asked him about it and he said, "I rescued them a few weeks back, they are now being paid and they are seeing my doctors who assist them with their health."

I didn't believe the garbage coming out his mouth but I had no proof, I would just have to inform Roman and Aidan so they would handle it. Seth then proceeded to invite us for a meal and rest our heads for the night before heading back to the Palace. I didn't mind as it was late, he then sent a she-wolf to my quarters and she did not disappoint. The next day, he paid what was owed and we headed out hoping to reach back home before sunset, if we had come in wolf form, it would have been a lot quicker but I loved horses. On our way, we were attacked by rogues wanting to rob us and I was furious, I didn't have a good fight in long so I was willing to do a little practice.

The rogues were mostly aiming at me and I was confused and thought, "Was this a hit on me, and who would have ordered it?" Tank was pissed and we changed into our wolves and we ended up ripping them to shreds. I was bathed in their blood and it was fascinating, I admit that I love killing, and I am at peace when it happens, this feeling was amplified since my father died. We decided to run back to the Palace in wolf form as our horses followed, I informed Aidan about the attack and he made sure that he had men go out to find out if rogues were planning to attack us again and Roman decided to head the task and we knew he would get the job done.

Later that afternoon after cleaning up, I was going to visit my mother and little brother when I ran into Addy, she always took my breathe away when I saw her, even Tank felt drawn to her and we had wished for a moment that she was our mate but we didn't feel a mating pull to her, just attraction. I even hated the fact that I was dreaming about my best friend's maiden, Aidan would be pissed if he knew I had those thoughts about Addison. She was in the garden with an omega who was behind her to tend to her needs, I walked over and dismissed the omega for a few minutes, Addy looked at me and smiled saying, "What do I owe the pleasure of your, presence, my lord?" I knew she was flirting with me just like when we were kids years ago, she was always a flirt but this time it was different and I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

I walked with her to the pond and she told me about her visit to see her grandmother in Volterra and that she was glad to be there, I knew she was part witch, just a low-level regular witch using little spells as a kid to entertain us. I was remembering the times we hung out and she always liked Aidan, I didn't mind as she was this annoying little girl but now she has turned into a very beautiful woman. I was drawn to her like a moth to a flame and couldn't understand it, I felt the wind pick up and her hair ended up in her face, I took strands of her hair placing it back behind her ears, I wanted to kiss her looking into those beautiful hazel eyes of hers. I remember she was Aidan's and I pulled away, she looked at me and said, "We should go back," and I escorted her back to the Palace.

I left Addy and walked down to the training grounds where Drax was training, I joined him as he was burning off some steam, and he eventually told me about Ryker being his mate and his feelings about us not accepting him, I told him we would accept him and to accept Ryker but he said he would talk to him eventually. I went over to visit my mother and little brother, she has been doing good now, although she still misses my father now and then, and I do too. Toffe was a pain in the ass but I loved the little rascal, I turned into my wolf and took him for a ride down by the lake and I saw the others. I linked Aidan, "You didn't tell me you would be here?" Aidan smiled, "It was Roman's idea." I look at Roman in the lake yelling, "It's about time you got here," and Toffe runs towards Roman, he loves Roman like a big brother, one thing I can say is, that Roman loves Toffe.

Eight Months Later

Addison

Things were looking up for me and Aidan, we were in love with each other and he was ready to notify the Kingdom that he was taking me as a chosen mate. He was in a meeting with the Elders and I was waiting for him, my room was across the hall from him now and I was excited. I was watching Ty talking to some warriors from my window and I admit, I do think about him sometimes, he has really become a beautiful specimen but he was still a man whore and hopefully, he will meet his mate one day and settle down. I was so deep in thought that I didn't hear when Aidan came into the room, I just felt his arms around me and he kissed my neck. I smiled and leaned back in his embrace, he said, "We need to talk and don't get mad but it needs to happen," and I turned around to look at him. He told me to sit and said, "The Elders want me to hold a ball for my birthday in hopes that I meet my mate or choose one to appease the people that I was looking for."

My heart sank and he said, "Addison, my mate is not in the Kingdom, if not, I would have met her already so relax, once the ball is over, I will announce you as my chosen mate. I believe in destined mates and hope to find her, but I love you and I know that I will choose you at the end of the night." I smiled because maybe he was right, if she was in the Kingdom, he would have met her already. Aidan and I ended up in bed making passionate love, he assured me I need not worry and I was happy and contented, I love him. Aidan got a link and kissed me before he left me on the bed walking out, I decided to take a walk to get some tea and go to the library. I was walking down the hall heading towards the kitchen to get tea instead of making my omega do it, my wolf felt uneasy, I didn't know why and I didn't care.

I saw Erik smirk at me before walking down the hall with Roman and I knew this was Erik's doing, I turned him down, he wanted to fuck me and I won't let him, he told me that he would make sure Aidan never chose me as a mate and I was pissed off. I didn't look to see where I was heading when I picked up the forest green scent, with a hint of rain and musk. I froze and turned around to head back to my room, I was so deep in thought that I forgot to renew the spell. I walked into this hard muscular chest and recognized the person, I looked into their eyes and we both said, "Mate," Ty looked at me in disbelief and I was shocked too. I grabbed his hand feeling the sparks and tingles of the mate bond, it was intense, and he grabbed my hand pulling me towards him, took me to his private room, and closed the door saying, "How Addison? How do I not know you are my mate until now?"

I looked at him as my wolf Ella was furious because we could have been with Ty if not for the spell but I didn't know what to do, I loved Aidan also. I had explained to Ty about the spell, that's why we never knew we were mates and it would explain the pull we have been feeling towards each other. Ty was furious, I saw him fold his hands into a fist holding back his wolf, he was hurt, he smelled the sex on me mixed in with Aidan's scent, he growls looking at me, my tears fell from my eyes because I could see the hurt in his eyes, I felt his anger. He said, "I Prince Tyrell Cloudwater, and Royal Delta of the Darkmonth Kingdom and Blood Moon Pack reject you Addison Knight as my mate, severing this bond forever."
