Nerin and I looked at each other and we both shared the same expression. “We need to get to the men. But to our bodies first.”

I nodded and teleported us back to our bodies. We both opened our eyes and looked at each other. “I don’t feel weak like the last time,” I spoke as we both stood up.

“That is because you were drawing power over and beyond your own. You tapped into mine. Alone you were so strong your body couldn’t take it now that it is your power alone without mine, you were able to handle it now. That is why I had to be resurrected so we could each combine our power to win this. All this was our destiny. Prophesy fulfilled. Now let’s get to our men.”

I smiled and nodded and took her hands. We got to the medic outpost set up for the injured and found Galen and Xipher on cots next to each other. Bryden was there with his arm in a sling and a few bruises on his face including one black eye. He stood up from the chair he was sitting on when we entered.
