The Light- Book One- Chapter Twenty- Seven

I opened my eyes, and they hurt. My throat still ached. As my eyes slowly focused, I realized I was in my room. I tried to sit up, and my head hurt badly.

“Honey?” Galen said next to me. “Here.” he tried to help me sit and give me a drink of water. It hurt too bad going down.

“Wha…” I couldn’t speak.

“Shush. I will explain.”

I put my hand on my head it hurt badly. Galen gently laid me back down and he himself lay on top of the covers next to me.

“First off,” He began. “I want to thank you for being able to give us the lead we needed to find you. It was my father’s spy who was able to locate the exact location where they had you. After you got quiet, we knew we had to find you soon. I tried for days to contact you.”

He looked down at me. “Yeah days.”
