Love at first sight

Melinda left Sanny and me to go get some snacks, just for reasons best known to her, because we already had enough to take. Staring at the cup of popcorn in my hand, Sanny shoved his hand into his pocket and brought out a face towel. He gently wiped my tears and I thanked him, exchanging a few warm smiles. He handed me back the moistened towel with a wink once he started eating my snack. At that point, I felt so relaxed with his presence, and smiled.

With a stop to get more popcorn, for he had already almost finished mine, he engaged me in a quick round of conversation. I was blown away by the fact that he didn't just know how to ask me questions, but actually seemed to know a lot about me. All thanks to Melinda.

"Alright guys, time to go home!" Melinda returned with some bags of packaged goods for our lunch.

"Okay" said Sanny. He took me by the hand and we all left the premises.

"Um.. Cilia" Sanny called out to me, I flinched, turning back to him as I halted my movement into my apartment. "Please, can I come in?"

"Ummm.. okay! If you wish."

Meanwhile, he'd already dropped Melinda at her place, insisting he brought me home too. Getting inside, I offered him a seat.

I was surprised by the coldness of his smile as I offered him a drink. This could mean anything, but I suspected he was just trying to be polite. I sat beside him on the twin seater couch, supporting my hands with the couch pillow. We both sat there for quite some time until someone had to break the silence.

"Um-mm Cilia," he paused, staring at me. His hand loosely covered mine. He didn't look up, his face expressionless. Trying to convey the importance of the moment with his silence, and I couldn't tell what he had in mind to say.  It felt uncomfortable to watch him think about something he was trying not to speak. I couldn't help it, I breathed out loudly as my heart skipped.

I couldn't help but ask, "Sanny, what's wrong?" He glanced at me and bowed again. "Are you okay..? Is there something you'd like to tell me?" I asked, anxiously. He brushed it off, and took a sip of his drink.

Still unsure of how to begin, but feeling a bit pressured by my insistence, wanting to know what was going on, he proceeded with an uncomfortable chuckle and said with a smirk, his voice odd, sort of subdued,

"Cilia, I-I I..." He muttered.

"Y-yo-you.. you what?" I had to destroy his fear with my hard laughter. And he smiled.

Now, I could see the difference in his mood, with so much courage.

"I love you Cilia, and I'd love to have you as my mate."

"Huh?" I released. With the shock in my heart, I still couldn't believe my ears.

For the reason that I was so desperately wanting to feel my partner again, his words penetrated me, and caught me off guard. My feelings increased in uncertainty as I was thinking if he was for real or not, like the others. Slowly, he moved closer to me, bringing forward his lips, and we began kissing, passionately. I melted into him, getting lost in his kiss, wanting and needing him as his strength and masculinity dominated my entire being as he was protecting me with his chest.

Just while we were still in the mood, a very heavy breeze blew through the window and swept the glass of wine off the table in a swift rush. We were stunned for a moment, and a rumbling like thunder followed shortly, causing the glasses of wine to break like clay under a stone.

"What's that?" Sanny asked in awe, staring in anxiety. I didn't bother answering, instead, staring intently at the windows to the side and saw nothing. I became so confused with fear and anxiety.

In a jiffy, Sanny came back again to me, lifting me off the ground and dumped me on the couch and started caressing me with a large amount of lust pressing his body against mine. I instantly felt my mind as a tiny cry penetrated me and I felt weak from its effect. The thought of Joey instantly filled my head and I immediately put a stop to Sanny's touch.

"Come on babe... Can't you see I'm so hard and I need you badly?"

"What do you mean by that?" I sounded so rude, ignoring my friendship with him. "Please get the fuck out of my house right this minute! Get out!" And I stood up quickly, pushing him away. Sanny reluctantly picked up his jacket, flung it on his shoulder, and banged his way out without so much as a nod of goodbye.

I peeped through my window and saw him cover his pants in his member region, walked quickly to his car, got in, and drove off. I remained standing like a frozen stick of meat, and a tear trickled down my eye. I couldn't tell what just happened, but I told myself, " isn't this very embarrassing? what you just did is terribly awkward." I ignored my feelings, went upstairs to take a cool shower, came out and then hit the street to get myself a bit relaxed.

"Hello Cilia!" A guy beckoned on me. His voice had a deep reggae vibe. His face looked familiar as I turned to see who it was to have known my name.

"Hello" I replied with a big smile, seeing the handsomeness before me. "Wow! He's cute! I think today is my lucky day. B-but... how did he get to know my name!?!" I exclaimed with a giggle, and with joy in my heart.  My gaze fell to his smooth round stomach, to the chiseled features that complimented his skin tone. His silky black hair and collarless shirt exposed his muscular arms, and his sunglasses hid his eyes behind them.

He asked if he could walk with me, and so we started walking together, forgetting to ask him how he got to know my name. He was such a hilarious person, with a big grin on his face as we talked while walking. Suddenly, we stopped and looked at each other, he said, "hold on a minute, am I...?" There was this silence in his mood, an icy expression. It was so scary to me that I was almost so scared to look at him. I nodded in return to his comment, smiling. I thought that I must really like this guy as he was seemingly so polite. But maybe, it was just in his eyes. Suddenly we turned to each other and I was surprised by his hand being placed on my waist. He would not let go of my hand even as we walked side by side with each other, and I felt so relaxed with him, not knowing the reason behind that. I didn't think that this was possible, allowing a total stranger to hold my hand, but it was.

"I've been seeing you around the neighborhood, and I've been watching and hoping for the day I'll meet you in person." He voiced.

I had to hold my breath for a moment after hearing those piercing words from him. Then I released; "How did you get to know my name?" With a glare in his eyes, he halted his movement and said to me, "of course I should..." Then smirked. And with a very hard voice, "And... you know me already!" He echoed, but softly, with so much seriousness in his appearance. I became more confused and startled. "I know him...? but I haven't seen him anywhere before..." I said, still thinking of where I met him and couldn't figure it out, I then said, "well..." as I concluded.

Suddenly, he cupped my face, looking deep into my eyes, his breath was cold unlike the usual warm breath of everyone else, and his expression was a strange mixture of pity, concern, and disdain as he gazed deeply into my soul.

"My name is, Joey" he spoke, softly with a scintillating smile.

"Huh? J-J Jjjoey?"
