Draven’s POV

I had already let Victor know we would meet a block and a half away from Limelight. I didn’t want Ramiro or any of his men seeing a convoy of vehicles heading straight toward the club. The element of surprise was still on our side, and I intended to keep it that way.

As I turned onto the street where we had agreed to meet, I slowed down. Then I stared. “Jesus Christ.” I let out a low whistle.

Vehicles were already lining both sides of the street. My men had arrived, and apparen

  • Ghost In The Pack   We Have Movement

Draven’s POV I looked over at Nikolai and gave a slight nod. Ramiro Salazar had served his purpose. It was time to dispose of the trash. I ordered for him to take care of that. While Nikolai handled that, I left a couple of teams behind to clean up Limelight and make sure every single person who had been caught in the crossfire was taken care of. My only thought now was going home. I needed to be with Elena. When I walked into our room, she was already there. She was pacing by the window. She turned around as I entered. Her expression a mixture of frustration and something else I couldn't quite place. She told me everything about the call. About the unknown hacker, his creepy proposition, and how she'd turned him down flat. I listened carefully. But it was hard for me to concentrate while my mind was still stuck on Bernard's name and the three-day deadline. When she finished, I could see the change in her eyes as I relayed the night's events. The look of concern on her face wa

  • Ghost In The Pack   Three Days

Draven’s POV The powder room was exactly where I needed it to be. Private. Soundproof. And far enough beneath the building that nobody upstairs would hear what happened down here. Ramiro Salazar sat restrained in the heavy chair in the center of the room, his wrists secured behind him and his ankles fastened to the base. The dust from the ventilation system still covered his clothes, and the bruises from the fight at Limelight were already beginning to darken across his face. He looked nothing like the man who had walked into my club earlier tonight believing he owned the place. But somehow, he still managed to look arrogant. Victor stood against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest. Byron was near the door, watching Ramiro without saying a word. Nikolai stood off to the side. I moved closer to the chair. “Who are you working for?” Ramiro looked up at me. His lip curled. “Fuck you.” Then he actually spat at me. I stared at him. He smiled. “You heard me.” I slowly walke

  • Ghost In The Pack   A Conversation

Draven’s POV I stood in the middle of Limelight, looking around the wreckage left behind by the fight. Ramiro Salazar was gone. My men immediately spread throughout the building, searching every room and checking for any possible exit he could have used. At the same time, I ordered everyone who wasn’t part of the fight out of the building. “Get the people and staff outside,” I ordered. “Make sure they’re escorted away from the building.” Warriors moved through the club, getting customers, dancers, and staff toward the exits while the rest continued searching. The room slowly emptied. The injured customer who apparently had been shot in the foot was being helped toward the exit by two of my men. He was limping badly, one of them supporting most of his weight while the other kept an eye on the surrounding area. He suddenly stopped. His head lifted. His eyes moved toward the ceiling. Then he pointed. I followed his finger. The ventilation system ran above us, partially hidden by th

  • Ghost In The Pack   I Decline

Elena’s POV I switched the call to speaker and set my phone down on Nico’s desk. That way, he could hear everything. Neither of us said anything for a moment. The voice on the other end remained quiet after making his offer, leaving the silence hanging between us. “I want to work with Ghost.” I looked at Nico. He was staring at me with an unsettling look on his face. Then he slowly reached over and covered the speaker on my phone with his hand. “Yeah,” he whispered. “I think this is a little creepy.” I bit the inside of my cheek to keep from laughing. “A little?” His eyebrows rose. “He found you.” He raised his brows up and down. Nico removed his hand from the speaker and stared at me. “You don’t think that’s concerning?” “Oh, I think it’s extremely concerning.” I looked down at the phone. “But I’m also curious.” “That might be the part that concerns me more.” Nico shook his head and let out a long sigh. I smiled. “I knew you liked me.” I tilted my head slightly and gave him a

  • Ghost In The Pack   Where Is He

Draven’s POV Twenty minutes was up. I looked toward Victor, who was standing several feet away with Nikolai beside him. Around us, our men were already in position, spread throughout the streets surrounding Limelight. The building was completely surrounded. Every entrance had eyes on it. Every exit was covered. There were men positioned on the neighboring streets, others watching the alleys, and a few of my warriors had taken positions higher up where they could see more of the building. Victor’s men had done the same, relying on the earpieces they had been given to keep everyone connected. Not all of my warriors were wolves, and Victor’s men certainly weren’t supernatural. That meant we couldn’t depend on mind-linking everyone into the same communication network. The earpieces solved that problem. Everyone could hear the orders. Everyone knew their position. Everyone knew what they were waiting for. I raised my arm. The street went still. Victor looked at me. I looked toward Limel

  • Ghost In The Pack   A Partner?

Unknown POV I stepped into the small room and shut the door behind me. The place was quiet except for the low hum of the equipment running along the wall. I walked toward the kitchenette and opened the microwave. Two pizza rolls sat on a paper plate inside. I stared at them for a second. They had been forgotten long enough that the cheese had hardened around the edges. Dried sauce was stuck to the plate. “Perfect.” I muttered under my breath. “Just the way I like them.” I rolled my eyes at myself. Of course that wasn’t how I preferred my pizza rolls. But hey. It sounded good anyway. I shook my head with a long heavy sigh. I pulled the plate out and carried it downstairs. The basement was where I spent most of my time. Computers covered nearly every available surface, monitors filling the walls with lines of code, security feeds, maps, and information I had collected over the years. I dropped into the chair in front of the main screen and picked up one of the pizza rolls. It
