*Rebel POV*
I waited patiently as the footsteps became louder before coming to halt in front of the chair my brother was tied to.
There were two of them. Their backs were facing me while they were focusing all their attention on Ryan. He was playing unconscious.
Smart choice.
“Hurry up, give me the keys. We have to move him before his sister gets here. Boss will kill us if we let this rat go out of our hands. It took weeks of planning to trap him.” The one with black hair and black leather jacket muttered anxiously to the other one.
“Here. Be quick, we don't have much time. Boat is leaving in a few.” The other one fumbled through his pants pockets and gave his partner the key to unlock the handcuffs.
So the mastermind of this plan was here, as I suspected and they are planning to run away. Although they forgot there is no way I will let that happen. They dare to go after my family. I will make them pay for it with the very last drop of their blood.
While those two fools were busy untying Ryan and moved to carry him, I striked.
Coming out of the hiding I used my wind force to separate them from Ryan. Their back and head hit the wall with brutal force that knocked them out instantly.
Well, that was easier.
Ryan immediately opened his eyes and looked at the sight with big eyes before looking back at me. Tears started falling from his eyes, tears of relief.
I patted his head lightly and said with an encouraging smile, “Come on, let's get you out of here.”
A smile appeared on his face. He nodded his head and got up fast, eagerly. He followed me through the maze I took earlier.
Xavier bumped into us on our way back, his clothes were stained with fresh blood and some dirt. He might have run into some hurdles but he looks completely unbothered.
When I thought he needed more time to get used to this line of work he proved me wrong. I can see what Kyle saw in him.
I handed him Ryan responsibility and instructed him to get him to the boat safely while I have one last important task.
He looked like he had a problem with that but understood I want to ensure Ryan’s safety first.
I'm putting my trust in him.
Ryan didn't wants me to leave his side but I promised him I will be back to him soon and he could trust Xavier for now.
Xavier gave me his words that he would get Ryan out of here. I watched as they left my sight before returning to the room I found Ryan, and picked one of the two clowns who gained consciousness and made him sing where I could find his boss before finishing him off.
His lifeless body joined his friend on the ground and I left the room to pay a special visit to the ringleader of this circus.

This island is more than it seems at first look. Who would have thought there's the secret tunnels underneath the temple that leads all over the island? Our unknown enemy used them as their escape route.
The identity of the mastermind was still a big mystery to me and it didn't help that Drake purposefully avoided to spill the beans on that part.
He knew who was behind all this but kept it a secret. I wondered what he wants to gain from doing that. I couldn't trust him until he revealed all his cards.
He did me a favour by telling me Ryan's location and I will always pay my debts but for the rest I'm not accountable.
Taking the tunnels, I reached to the east side of the island. This part of the island had several self made caves that was nothing less than a labyrinth to get through, filled with dangers. No wonder my people left this part alone who in their right mind would've thought enemies would be brave enough to use them as their escape route.
The several movements caught my attention when I reached the end of the darkness to follow the amber glow of the torches that kept the whole cave lit.
It was enormous. Bigger than I thought. It's surprising how this place stayed hidden from radar so far.
The numbers of bodies present down there were more than the numbers present on the surface fighting my people head on.
It didn't surprise me that the enemy used every trick in the books to ensure his safety.
He should be, knowing who he picked fight with.
Though he was delusional if he thought doing this could ensure his safety. Even the god wouldn't be able to save him from me tonight.
I invades their trope by trading my clothes with one of theirs. It gives me access to get closer look at the centre. A small boat that seemed to have few people in it.
The cave was old and had a small stream of water directly connecting to the vast water body outside.
A small vessel could easily ride with the current.
My disguise was solid nobody suspect a thing as I get in the range to get a clear view of people inside through the small glass window in the cabin.
I cursed under my breath when saw someone who should be dead a long ago but I took mercy on him. Italian’s new leader. Ricker’s baby brother.
It's not surprising that he was out for blood for what I did to his brother and gang but I let it pass because he had no means to do touch a single hair on my head.
Guess I miscalculated. He get someone backing him in his actions.
But the question was who?
Other than him their were three more people in the cabin two of them were draped in black holding the firearms, guarding the door.
Other than that there's one more person who had his back facing to me. He was wearing an blue suit and diamond studs in his ear, his orange hair were cut short.
I could tell we never met before, so what could be the reason he would join hands with Italian to do me any harm unless he had feud with me or Kings.
As much as I would love to get some answers before taking his useless life I really didn't care much. He made a mistake to come after my family and for that he and all his accomplices going to pay tonight.
It was just matter of seconds.
A chilling smile appeared on my face at the thought of seeing their blood on my hands. Darkness roared in my head, murmuring the sweet nothings that set my soul on fire. My eyes glint with excitement as
I closed the distance between us.
This is going to be so much fun…

*Rebel POV*I always wondered what death would feel like. Cold? Peaceful? Or just void. Not that I planned to die this young.Though the future is uncertain. Who would have thought I would die young? It seems so unfair. I didn’t get to spend more time with my brother, I didn’t finish college, and I never got to solve the mystery of my birth—the list goes on.However, the moment it happened, I gracefully accepted it. I surrendered to my fate for once. It was peaceful, dark, cold, and there was that void as well. It was as if I was floating in space with no worries in the world.Although it lasted less than a millisecond because, the next moment, I found myself pulled back into the world of the living.Lying on the beach with a guy over me was the last thing I could imagine myself doing after cheating near death. The manly face hovered over mine, drenched in shadows cast by the setting sun behind him. Saltwater dripped from his hair onto my cheek, and his chest heaved as if he’d just ru
*Rebel POV*---I laughed, standing in the face of danger. They were fools if they thought they could scare me with their shiny little toys.“Stop where you are! Reveal your identity!” they demanded. If they could not recognize the enemy at first glance, they were a waste of every penny being spent on them. They should have shot me before asking questions. That's how it works.Maybe they had a chance against me, though it's not going to make any difference. It was too late by the time they put their weapons to use; there was no way their bullets could touch a single hair on my head.I'm invincible. The shield I created using my powers couldn't be penetrated by metal or any other substances. The shock on their faces was worth watching when the bullets bounced back and hit them.We could have had more fun, but too bad I didn't have time to waste on pawns when I was aiming for the king's neck. All the commotion alerted the crew in the cabin, and they were smart enough to escape rather tha
*Xavier POV*My task was to follow Rebel and handle her security. That was the task Kyle alloted me but he forgot that I'm bound to follow his orders but she follows no one's.It's impossible to make that woman listen. In the last twelve hours I had failed to do my task many times.Even now she wanted me to take care of her little brother, I didn't know she had until this morning, meanwhile she went to take a walk in enemy territory.I wanted to deny her orders but I didn't because in the last twelve hours I had seen a different Rebel than the world known of.For the first time under my watch she was not the ice queen, cold and merciless but a sister who loves her brother more than anything. She has a family like a normal person. The part of her life she keeps hidden behind her mask of coldness.I saw tears in her eyes when she reunited with her brother.I am no fool to not see how she didn't trust me as much as she does to Kyle and the old man named Mr. Karim we met on the island. I

*Rebel POV*“Is this all the men we have?” I glanced at the two boats filled with all the guards Karim brought with him after I called him to inform Ryan's location and my plan to get him free.“I'm afraid so.” Karim signed disappointedly. He is aware how risky this is going to be.“They are not enough but this is all we got, so this has to work.” There's not enough time for me to call for help from New York. The island they were keeping Ryan on was surrounded by water from all sides. Reaching there without getting detected was a bit of a challenge; the other option was to surround the island by a larger number and attack before they even get a chance to attack us.However both conditions were not in our favour so we decided to wait until nightfall before starting the rescue operation. And the information I obtained from Drake was another plus point.***We sail the boats in the dark to use the night with the no moon as our companion.Call it pure luck on our side or negligence on the
*Rebel POV*The doors weren’t locked. I made my way inside what appeared to be a cottage abandoned by its owner over half a century ago, or so I guessed. All the windows were secured with wooden planks and nails, ensuring not a single beam of sunlight could sneak through. The interior had become a perfect sanctuary for bats clinging to the ceiling, glaring at me and making angry noises, probably protesting my intrusion.I scanned the area, half-expecting some imposing figure to step out of the shadows and reveal themselves, especially considering the challenging words they had used in their message. But nothing happened. I was left disappointed."You still have time to get on your knees and beg for mercy. I might let you off with a slap on the wrist—if I feel generous," I said mockingly.Still nothing.I began to wonder if someone had given me the wrong address just to mess with me.Suddenly, a blinding light flashed in my face. I flinched at the harsh brightness and blinked rapidly t
