Chapter 98 - Pandora's Box

I got up from the bed and immediately opened the curtain to see who was talking to me, but there was no one there. ‘Am I hearing things now?’ I shook my head as I lay on the bed again. “This is getting more and more annoying.” I cursed at the wind and closed my eyes.

“Lili? Are you there?” I opened my eyes after hearing Mavis’s voice. Why is she here in the infirmary? “Uhm, I actually heard what happened in your classroom today.” She said as I saw her sitting on the chair in front of the bed. I could only see her silhouette since the curtain’s covering the bed.

“I know what Kyros did probably pissed you off,” Mavis said. “But he’s only being like that because he likes you so much.”

I opened the curtain and saw Mavis. Her hair was in a mess and it looked like she rushed here. “Did Kyros tell you to say that?”

“Of course not!” She sighed. “I can’t bear seeing you two break down just because of Kyros’s social anxiety and how he sucks when it comes to interacting with people.”
