Girl in a Wolves Den

I was left in awe because of the news my dad told us. They decided to kick me out of this huge mansion, without even considering my thoughts and feelings.

"Don't worry, I already paid for a room in a sharehouse for you. In that way, you can interact with other people and learn to be normal just for once." My dad said with a cheery expression as if he's not driving his one and only daughter out of this so-called 'home'.

"What are you even saying? I'm not leaving this house!" I shouted at them with glaring eyes. I hated this life, but I hate it more when I am being looked down upon by men.

"You're already aware of your attitude. For short a spoiled brat." My older brother interrupted which made me more furious.

"Shut up! I'm not talking to you." I said with a rude tone. I don't bother respecting them, because they don't deserve it.

"Your things are already outside." My dad's not listening to what I'm saying and keeps on pushing his ideas to me.

"Are you serious?! Why are you treating me like this?" I can't stop my emotions from exploding. I feel mad not because of this situation, but because I'm still hurt by how they treat me. I know I don't deserve this shitty treatment after all the things I've gone through.

"You need to hurry, you're also going to transfer to Ravenwood Academy." My jaw dropped. This is getting more ridiculous! They're making fun of me!

"That's an all-boys school! Are you kidding me?" I scoff as I keep on looking at my dad's eyes, pleading, and trying to work my way out of this situation. But it seems like he cannot be persuaded anymore.

"It was a former all-boys school. They're already accepting female students. I think there are a total of 20 female students, with you added it would be 21 female students." My brother Lawson mockingly said while smirking at me. 

"Why? Just why! Why are you forcing me to leave?" The feelings I've suppressed for too long keep on coming out. I couldn't hold back.

At that moment, I feel like I'm on the edge of a cliff. Just one wrong move and I will fall deeper into the abyss.

"You're spoiled too much by Mom. We were wrong to give you everything you've wanted just because you're angry. Only Mom can make you calm but now that she's gone, we don't know how to handle your moods." Zeke explained. 

"This is for you Xhyrinn." I can feel Zeke's sincerity with every word he spoken. But my mind is in a mess. How is this for me? 

"Did it not crossed in your mind that you're making my situation worse? That's a former all-boys school for whoever's sake!" I started breathing heavily. 

"How can you be certain that such a place would be a good environment for me? They're known for being poor and not classy." My brother's gaze changed because of what I said. I'm just being honest, most of the students there don't have any class and they're probably not taught with good manners.

"How could you know when you're not even studying there?" I felt Dad's stern voice piercing through my body.

"I know the owner of that Academy, and he is one of my close friends. The quality of the education there is top tier. You will learn a lot, and maybe someday you will able to control yourself and change that attitude." He once again smiled at me. He already made up his mind, and I think nothing could change it.

Not even me.

"Does anyone even care about me?" I looked at them with pain in my eyes, I couldn't shout anymore. I lost my energy, and this is my last resort.

"That's not the point-" My brother was planning to explain why we ended up in this situation but I didn't want to listen to their lies anymore. I give up.

"Fine. I'll never come back here." They were shocked. I don't know why when they're the ones pushing me to the edge. They should have expected this. 

I furiously walked away with my things that were already packed and ready to go. They did put an effort into this huh? But it doesn't matter anymore. They don't matter anymore.

I boarded the car that they prepared. The driver is supposed to bring me to the Sharehouse that will become my new home.

I couldn't help myself but take a last look at the place where I grew up. Where I last saw my mom's smiling face. 

As we drive through the main gate, the tears that I've been holding back since forever came without warning. As if it was a race, they began falling into my cheeks. I don't even care if the driver finds me weird or pitiful. I just want to cry my heart out. I experienced a lot of pain while I'm living in that Mansion. Maybe this is a once in a lifetime chance to escape the pain.

The tears continued to seep down my cheeks as we carry on our ride towards the share house, but now I can suppress my sobs. I still feel humiliated, to the point that I feel weak. However, I know that I need to stay strong. I only got myself from now on.

Soon after, we arrived at the share house. The manager greeted me with a wide smile. I'm just glad that she's a girl because if it's a man, I will surely make a scene that they will never forget.

"Hi, I am Kyrary the manager of this Sharehouse." When I look closely, she's really pretty. A brunette long-haired woman with big round eyes. She kind of resembles a cute puppy. Maybe she's in her mid-20s.

"Can I go to my room now?" I asked. I didn't even try to not sound rude. It seems like she's already aware of my situation that's why I don't have to bother myself to explain why I want to be left alone.

She took me to my room without asking for anything. She smiled before leaving me, while I immediately get into my new room and closed the door.

When I am finally alone, I broke down. I let out the sobs that I've been suppressing. I didn't realize that this will pain me so much.

My mom left me behind just to suffer like this. I'm mad at her for not taking me, for leaving me without anyone to support me. But I am furious with my Dad and older brothers. I hate them!

Without even noticing, I fell asleep on the floor while still crying my eyes out. The pain is not subsiding.

I woke up with swollen eyes and puffy cheeks, but it doesn't matter anymore. I took a bath and quickly wore my new school uniform. I only hope that my eyes will gradually go back to normal before I arrive at school.

I left the share house without eating breakfast. Miss Kyrary insisted on me to eat but I don't have any appetite.

I am used to being driven to school before, but everything changed now. I should get accustomed to this.

While walking on the sidewalk, I noticed that the houses here are quite pretty. Not as pretty as our mansion, but they're good enough to be considered houses for middle-class people.

I am just glad that I didn't stray away far from the school. It not obvious but I am diligent with studying. It is one of the things I'm good at.

"Kyros stop it!" My forehead creased because of the scenario I caught right in front of the main gate of the Academy.

I saw five men being beaten up by another guy. That guy is being stopped, by I think that is his friend.

I rolled my eyes and ignored them. I speedily walked towards the main gate and got into the Academy. As expected, I can see a lot of boys. I hate boys.

I think I can see why they sent me here. I already accepted that a lot of people saw me as an unbearing person since I am rude and sassy. My family didn't even consider the reason why I ended up being like this.

They're just pretending to care about me, when in fact they want to get rid of me. They don't need a girl to continue their bloodline anyway.

They might think that I will surrender to them. Not in hell. I will overcome this, and when the time comes that I don't need their help anymore, I will stay away from them. Far, far away.

"Ms. Costas?" I turn around in the direction of that voice. I couldn't hide my disappointment when I saw a male teacher.

"I'm Wilson Mantovan and I will be your adviser for this school year." He introduced himself. We were currently outside the faculty room and there are a lot of male students that are staring at me. What's their problem?

"Let's go to the classroom." He smiled. I looked at his face and saw him having a confused look. I noticed his comb-over haircut. It suits his foxy-like eyes and triangle-shaped face. But he gives off the feeling that's he's flashy. 

When he started walking, I silently followed him from behind. The other students keep on staring at me as we walk towards my soon-to-be classroom.

"You're already aware that this school was a former all-boys school, right?" I nodded without having any interest in what my teacher said.

"Don't be too shock all right?" I once again creased my forehead. Try me. Do I look like I'll be shocked by anything now? My father and brother just kicked me out of their house. Fascinating! 

"You're the only girl in this class." He turns around to me with a smile on his face. I just looked at him with empty eyes. Do I have to be impressed with that?

When we arrived in front of the classroom, I can hear the loud noises coming from the inside. This is why I hate boys. They're loud and stupid, just like an empty can.

Mr. Mantovan told me to wait for a bit outside. I think he's going to try making his students calm down before I go inside.

"Class! Please behave yourself! Our new student is here." I heard Mr. Mantovan's voice but the students didn't listen to him so I decided to just go inside and get it over with.

"WOAH! SHE'S A GIRL?!" Someone deliberately shouted as if it is his first time to see a girl in flesh.

"So pretty." Another one complimented me with sparkling eyes that made me feel disgusted.

"Am I already in heaven? Why is there an angel here?" I let out a cringed look because of what I heard. It seems like I can't detect a high IQ from here.

This room looks exactly like a Wolves Den, full of hungry and disgusting wolves. Makes me want to puke. 

"Don't mind them, you can introduce yourself now." Mr. Mantovan said with an expression like he's so done with this class.

"Liliana Xhyrinn Costas." I emotionlessly said.

"That's it?" One of my classmates asked with a confused look on his face.

"I hate boys, so please stay away from me." I gave them a sarcastic smile that made them all stay silent. Now, this is what I call peace.

After the long silence, I decided to go to my seat straight away. I don't want to be seen in front of them anymore.

When I sat on my seat near the window in the last row, everyone's still staring at me as if I'm someone famous.

The bell rang that initiated the class to start. I didn't expect them to focus and I thought that this will be a mess, but I guess I'm wrong about that. I'm the one who's lacking focus right now. My mind can't focus because all I want to do is go home and sleep right now. 

"Oh right, I forgot to ask but where is Kyros?" Mr. Mantovan asked after he ended his discussion. Kyros? That's the name I heard before, the one who's beating those male students outside the main gate.

"Ah! Kyros's climbing the gate!" One of my classmates shouted as he points to the one guy who's climbing the gate like a monkey. Almost all of my classmate's attention is on that weird guy.

"KYROS GET BACK HERE!" Mr. Mantovan shouted at the top of his lungs but that monkey ignored him and jumped outside the fence and ran like mad.

What a weird but amazing guy.
