I woke up with a bubble of excitement within me. The Full Moon Festival was just around the corner, and it amazed me how quickly time had flown by. Only two days remained until the festival.
Everyone in the Crystal Lake pack seemed to be preparing. Our Alpha, Alpha Barnard Albertson made sure that the whole pack was beautifully decorated.
people were bustling about, and the tension of the festival hung in the air. My mother had mentioned the previous night that we would be going shopping for the festival, and I couldn't contain my joy.
Unable to wait any longer, I rushed out of my room, still dressed in my pyjamas, and headed straight to my mother's room to remind her about our shopping plans.
"Mom! Mom!" I excitedly knocked on her door. "Wake up! We're going shopping today, remember?"
However, instead of my mother's response, it was my father who answered. "Yvonne, it's too early. Your mother will be ready when it's time. Don't stress her, please," he gently scolded.
"Sorry," I mumbled and reluctantly went to my brother Caleb's room.
Entering Caleb's room, I noticed he was still sound asleep. I knew better than to wake him; he had a bad temper when woken up from sleep. He could scream down the whole house, so I quietly left.
Just as I was walking away, I heard my name being called. I turned to find Kathryn standing in front of her room.
I was surprised. "What are you doing standing there?" I asked.
"I was about to come to your room when I saw you," she replied. "Look, I found this gorgeous gown on the internet. It's beautiful and classy but quite expensive," she explained.
"Let me see," I said, sounding so curious. She grabbed my name and led me into her room, and we both sat on her bed, scrolling through the internet together.
"Wow! It's so beautiful," I exclaimed when I saw the dress.
Kathryn sighed. "Yes, but I don't think Mom and Dad could afford it. Mom is a banker, and Dad is a doctor."
"Well, I have some savings. I can contribute," I offered, eager to help my sister achieve her dream.
Kathryn's eyes filled with gratitude. "Aww, that's so sweet of you. Come here," she said, pulling me into a tight hug. "Thank you so much, sis. I love you."
I playfully protested, "Ahh! You're suffocating me!"
"Sorry, sorry," she laughed, releasing me from her embrace.
Just as we were sharing a lighthearted moment, our mother called out, breaking our reverie.
"Kath! Tell your sister, you girls need to prepare. We're leaving in 30 minutes," she announced.
Kathryn's reaction was quick. "Shit!" she cursed under her breath, running into the bathroom to freshen up. I, too, hurried back to my room to get ready for our shopping outing.
Kathryn and I swiftly prepared ourselves to leave the house. Our mother was shouting at us through the hallway, to hurry up.
As we finally gathered our things and headed for the car, our mother was waiting impatiently by the front door. "Come on, girls! We don't have all day," she urged,
We entered the car, and soon, the engine roared off.
During the drive, Kathryn couldn't contain her joy. "I can't believe we're finally going shopping for the Full Moon Festival, Yvonne!"
I grinned, equally excited. "I know, right? It's going to be so much fun!"
Our mother chimed in from the driver's seat, "It's a special day, girls. We would make the most of it."
Upon arrival, the mall was bustling with shoppers, who were also preparing for the upcoming Full Moon Festival. We joined the crowds of people, our first stop was a boutique that had caught Kathryn's eye. The dress she had seen on the internet was just as stunning in person, but it came with a terrific price.
Kathryn hesitated for a moment before turning to me. "Yvonne, this dress is a bit pricey."
I smiled at her. "Don't worry, sis. I've got some savings; I can help you with it."
Awww… she smiled. "You're the best, Yvonne. Thank you so much."
"You two are such wonderful sisters. Your bond is something truly special, and I'm so proud of you both. Our mother declared.
We bought the gown and continued our shopping spree, frequently checking off the list of items we needed for the festival. Decorations, accessories, and various items loaded in our shopping bags.
By the time we left the mall, our arms were heavy with bags, we were brimming with happiness. We laughed and talked all through our ride back home.
As we reached home, Caleb and our dad were already settled in the living room, watching their favorite TV series. They were chatting when we entered.
Caleb was happy at the sight of us. "Mummy! Yvonne! Kath! You're back!" he exclaimed, jumping up from the couch.
We glanced at each other amused, knowing exactly what Caleb was after. "Hey, little man," I greeted him. "Did you miss us?"
Caleb grinned mischievously. "Of course, I did. Did you buy anything for me?"
Kathryn and I looked at ourselves and smiled before faking innocence. "Oh, we must have forgotten," Kathryn teased, getting an extreme gasp from Caleb.
"Daddy, did they really forget about me?" he pleaded, turning to our father for support.
Our father chuckled. "Don't worry, buddy. They couldn't have forgotten about you."
As we sat in the living room, I couldn't help but notice Caleb eyeing the shopping bags. "Hey, Caleb," I said, "those bags contain something for you too."
Caleb couldn't contain his excitement as he screamed, "Wow! I knew it!" We all laughed and opened the bags, bringing out everything we had bought.
By the time we finished checking out our new clothes, it was already past 5 p.m. And we were all tired, and none of us had the strength to cook dinner. So, we all agreed to order pizza, and Dad quickly placed an order and had it delivered.
After dinner, we said good nights to ourselves and headed to our rooms, tired from the day’s outing.
I was in my room pacing up and down, “He must be joking, maybe it's one of his tricks to get me scared, Maybe… just Maybe.” I said reassuring myself.I heard footsteps coming toward my room, I hauled to listen to where they were headed. Unfortunately, it was my room. The door swung open, My sister and my brother came inside.“You have finally done something useful to this family. My sister Kathryn said. I was dumbfounded. Tears falling down from my eyes. “So this is true?” I thought.“Yvonne, why are you crying? You’ve done nothing. You've literally cleared off Daddy’s debts. Do you even know how much? Fifty freaking million dollars, You did it!. Caleb exclaimed.“Daddy sold me out, he betrayed me, instead of fighting for your sister, you both are happy, how cruel can you guys be?” I questioned, feeling heartbroken.Caleb interjected. “How cruel? How cruel is jumping from one man to another and getting pregnant without knowing who the child’s father is and bringing her in for mom and

"Hey!" I exclaimed with excitement as I burst into Kathryn's room. It was a special day. It was Kathryn's birthday, and it marked her first-ever shift as a wolf.Kathryn, still dizzy from sleep, blinked at me in surprise. "Yvonne? What's all the commotion about?""It's your birthday, Kath!" I beamed, shaking her gently. "And tonight, you get to experience your very first wolf shift. Isn't that amazing?"Kathryn exclaimed. "Oh wow, I almost forgot! Thanks for the wake-up call, sis."With a grin, I pulled her out of bed, trying to make this special day even more unforgettable for her.I took her downstairs, where we had arranged for a small birthday party surprise for her.Her friends also gathered around to celebrate. There was plenty of delicious food, drinks, and gifts. Of course, no birthday is complete without a cake to cut, and we all sang "Happy Birthday" as she made a wish and blew out the candles. And started gifting her."Happy Birthday, Kath!" Mom and Dad beamed, handing her

"Yvonne, dinner's ready!" Yvonne's mother called from the kitchen."Coming, Mom!" Yvonne replied cheerfully. I was in my room, studying for an upcoming school exam.As I made my way to the dining room, my elder sister, Kathryn, my 12-year-old younger brother Caleb, my mother, Angelina, and my father, Williams Roderick. All were sitting at the dining table waiting for me to join them.Smiling warmly, my father asked. "How was your day at school, sweetheart?"My face lightened up as I told him how my day went, "It was great, Dad! I aced my maths test, and I even made a new friend, Emily. We're planning to hang out this weekend."My mother placed a delicious homemade lasagna on the table. "That sounds wonderful, dear. I'm so proud of you," she said, ruffling my hair affectionately."Hey honey, stop ruffling her hair; we have food here," my mother playfully scolded my father. My Father chuckled and tenderly caressed his mate’s cheeks. "Oh, sorry, darling," he apologized. She smiled and tu
