Chapter Seventeen

It’s been a few days since Marcel last saw Kahlan, he’d gone to the house where they talked about what was going on which he was still not believing. He still had a lot of questions to ask her since they didn’t finish their discussion because of time. Marcel still hasn’t seen her each time he’s there, the door is always locked and when he asked her neighbours of her whereabouts none knew. He still maintained his day job working for Marcus and each time he comes across Suzy she tries to get him in her room which according to her was for them to get to know each other but he could tell that she has an ulterior motive. Strange thing is he feels like there’s something missing in his memory about her but for the life of him he didn’t know what it was. Kim too was acting strange, asking him questions about Kahlan which he said that he said that he doesn’t know much about her as they just met.
