Chapter 110

Kimberly:

I was going out of my mind trying to reach Vanessa. My hands were shaking as I repeatedly dialed her number over and over, but it just kept ringing and ringing with no answer. A horrible pit formed in my stomach as terrible thoughts raced through my head. What if something bad had happened to her?

I looked over at Ethan with panic in my eyes. "She's not answering. I can't get through to Vanessa at all," I said, my voice trembling.

Ethan's expression turned serious. He could see how distraught I was getting. "Okay, try to stay calm," he said, putting his arm around me. "I'll call Tony and give him to check on her location right away."

I nodded, still feeling very anxious. Ethan quickly made the call to Tony, explaining the situation. Tony happened to be not too far away, so he said he would head over to Vanessa's motel immediately to make sure she was alright. Knowing how competent Tony is, I clutched on the lifeline hope threw at me.
