Chapter 44

GINA

I’m on the floor in my room doing my work out for the day when I hear the door unlocking. I don’t even bother to stop what I’m doing and greet whoever it is. Although the hallway is basically a dirt path, at least the floor in my room is paved with stone tiles. It took months of work, but I got it pretty clean in here, so it feels a little more livable.

A few seconds later, Silas walks into my room. Dirt from the hallway clings to his shoes and leaves dusty tracks behind him. I’ll have to clean that up as soon as he leaves if I want to keep my floor to this level of cleanliness that I’ve worked so hard to reach.

Honestly, it just gives me something else to do. I’ve been running out of way to entertain myself since I finished sorting files. As much as I enjoy working out to keep my body in shape and my wolf sated, since I had no space to shift and run, my hands still needed something to keep them busy.
