Alex took Peace back to the mansion. Peace sat in the front seat. She had closed her eyes, trying to rest for a while. Alex hadn’t noticed that, as he looked around at Peace and found her fast asleep, he pressed his lips together and then unfastened his seatbelt. He sat back and rested his head on the headrest. Peace’s eyes were closed. Alex glanced in her direction and stared at her with a shattered look in his eyes.
“Sigh!” Alex looked away. He gave out a tired groan. His eyes glimpsed the bandage on Peace’s foot. His eyes boiled up with a hostile emotion and he harshly smacked the steering wheel.
Peace jolted and opened her eyes quickly. She stared directly at Alex, who was not in an excellent mood.
“What Happened?” She asked in an innocent tone.

Peace was deep in her sleep but a familiar scent filled her nostrils. The memory attached to the scent was not pleasant at all and that was visible because her eyebrows crumpled suddenly and cold slowly crept through her bones.
