Rowena

The Markings appear on the twins, and things haven't been the same since that day. Everyone has been short-tempered; it's as if a dark cloud has been hanging over our pack, and that's something I don't like. One thing I've learned is that when you are going through a hard time, you don't let your enemy know, or they will take advantage of you.

With that in mind, I had to call a meeting between the brothers. They were walking around the pack looking like they were already dead, and I couldn't have that, not when there is a good chance that Jaden from the Silvermoon might come over and ask for money. I can't let them see that there's a crack in our foundation.

“ I’m going to need your help, guys, to get the heck out of that funk you guys have going on,” I say to them once they are seated in the room.

They shared a look before Lucian said, “This is not something we can just let go of; we have a ticking time bomb in our body.”

He reminds me, like I haven't been doing

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Heritage

Rowena Tired from her morning workout, she lay on the cold floor, breathless, sweating, and muscles tight, staring at the ceiling. Her mind went back to her sister and her uncle's words. Doubt started to creep into her mind. Is she doing the right thing? Is she really going to let these people scare her into hiding and not find out the truth about her family? Lately, she's been feeling like she doesn't belong anywhere. When she finally accepted that the Golden pack was her family, the Goddess sent her a curveball, which shattered everything that she thought she knew about her life. None of those things brings her clear answers, only more questions that would get killed. “ Did your Uncle give you problems at the party?” Yara asked as she took a seat next to me on the floor. Still staring at the ceiling, “ No, but he did threaten me about looking into my parents,” I explain to her about everything that's been happening. We haven't seen each other since I opened the Company.

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Old Tradition

Lukan This morning I woke and gathered the pack for a morning run. It has been a minute since we have done something like that. The run was not for fun but for strength, survival, and coordination amongst ourselves. With the sun still hiding behind the mountain before it took over the sky, everyone gathered outside, waiting. With no instruction, he just took the lead with his Luna next to him, the elder members on one side, the young pups were in the middle playing with the parents hanging in the back, keeping them in the circle for protection. The Golden pack took the forest with sheer power, paws hitting the wet floor, leaves crushing under our paws, the members' breath pluming in the cool air, the thud-thud-thud sound of our paws echoing through the quiet forest. We ran as one. I took a look to my right to find a blur of white fur moving with grace, the wind blowing softly through her fur as if they were whispering a secret to her. She looks beautiful and peaceful, being that

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Lies, All lies

Rowena I couldn't help but laugh at these ridiculous things that were coming out of Lukan’s mouth because that's the only way I can describe them. The minute that the boys said I was not her, I knew there was something behind those words, especially the way that the little boy kept sneaking glances at me behind her older brother. Which brings us to this morning, with Lukan insulting my ears with lies, that's the only way I can describe the words he just said: “You lying,” I say, in disbelief. “ You have a twin sister out there somewhere, “Lukan says, when I demand that he tell me what the boys meant by I'm not her and since then, those words kept on replaying in my ears: “ You have a twin sister, not just a sister but a twin.” Shaking his head, “ I wish I were, my mother told me she was a good friend of your mother,” He explained again. So do I. I wish he were lying so badly to me that my heart hurt from the pain. He reached out to touch me, but I pulled away from his

Lukan “It's been three days and no money, in fact, when I went to check, it seems more are missing? What's going on, gentlemen?” Lukan asked in a calm tone, but he was anything but; his body was tense, and his eyes blazed at the Elders. Slapping his hands on the desk in anger, “ HOW DARE YOU!? Treating us this way, we have been nothing but faithful to you and the pack since before you knew you were going to be born,” Elder Josh yelled. Getting on his feet, Lukan took a small step down the long table and asked, “If it were any other member of the pack that stole from us, how would we deal with that person?” I ask them. The room fell into silence, everyone of them avoiding eye contact because they know it will be death on sight, the rule is the same as trespasser, no stealing from your own punishment is death, they were lucky because of who they are and what they represent in the pack, instead of using that second chances to pay the money one or all of them went back and took

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Danger Knocking

Rowena Today is the opening of my brand-new office, where clients can make appointments. Lucy’s friend really came through, finding the new place in just four days. She found us in the right place. Two weeks later, we were up and running. So far, many Alpha males have signed up to help us find their mates. They are willing to go on dates and meet different people. We can also help them make alliances with other packs. We have Alpha females who can't find their mates because some males are intimidated by them. We can help them meet new people in the holes and find their own mates. The company has multiple functions, and I love it. Today, we have been recording interviews to get to know the candidates a little better before we start setting them up. “We're leaving. Are you sure you want to stay by yourself?” Katie asks before Lucy leaves. “Nods,” I said. “Yeah, I'm fine, you guys go it. Lukan is supposed to come get me.” I still have some last-minute things that need my at

  • Groom Switch (Twin Prophecy book 1)   Strangeness

Lukan My eyes were watery from reading too much, my body was aching from sitting down on one position for way too long, untangle myself on the couch I put the books back on the shelves, Lucian and I have been at it for days looking into the marking on our body but we came up empty, with similar ones but no ones closed to the one that we were looking for, now I'm exhausted and starving and I knew the best place to go and I will find some good food. Showered, dressed in black —unfortunately, that's how my mood has been lately: dark. It's like a cloud hovering, waiting for the perfect chance to open and rain or fire on me. No sooner had I stepped outside the house than I heard Rowena's faint call, “Lukan.” It sounded like she was hurt. Following the mating bond, I found her lying not too far from the house; she was breathing but unconscious. “That's good, that's good, “ I keep chanting to myself as I carry her to the clinic. “ Luna! What happened?” The female Doc asked, as she
