Chapter 30

Azura-

While we ate breakfast, I barely paid any attention to the food Cyran made. I was more focused on everything he was telling me. My mind kept circling back to who hired the man I now knew as Larry. Despite Cyran’s best effort to convince me that Arric wasn’t behind it, I couldn’t help but think I was right.

My entire life, at least my present life, I have always had this uncanny sense of awareness. When I had a feeling that something wasn’t right, I always listened to my instincts. I have yet to be proven wrong either.

The only time my instincts failed me was when I moved to this town. I kept getting a feeling that I was safe, but then I realized that I hadn’t been safe. I had a feeling that it was because Cyran was nearby though.

Even when he irritated me to no end before, I have always felt as if he would protect me. After regaining some of my memories, I realized that even in my past life I had felt safe with him. For the first time since being around Cyran though, I don’t
