Chapter 236 Car Dealership

Author: Five Generals
“Is there a car show today? Why didn’t I hear about it?”

Sky sprung up. “Come on. Even if we can’t afford it, we should window-shop.”

He was quick to get dressed.

While waiting for Sky outside his room, Kaze got a call from Don.

“Mr. Lee, when we arrested Joy two days ago, you rescued Sandy Queen from an illegal surrogacy ring. Her family contacted us, saying that they wanted to thank you in person.”

Kaze remembered the pretty girl from two days ago.

“It’s good that her family has found her. They don’t need to thank me. I have to go out now. That’s it for now, Don.”

Don was on cloud nine that he was on a first-name basis with Kaze.

Kaze thought nothing of the matter.

He had a long history of fighting in foreign lands. He had killed and saved many. If he was thanked for every life he saved, he would not have time for anything else.

Sky had cleaned himself up, and they left home. They caught a ride to get to Taurus Automobiles.

Taurus Automobiles was the place Hun

“So you’re saying that you know Buffy? What’s the nature of your relationship with her?” Clarice was finally assured that nothing was going on between Kaze and Buffy. As it turned out, Kaze knew Buffy. Clarice’s mind raced with questions about whether they were dating and if Kaze was lying. “I know her. She’s a friend of mine. I wonder what brings her here.” Kaze realized that things were about to get lively in Westeros, and it would not be a good thing. Now that he thought about it, he had brought Snow to Westeros and spotted Darcy in the city days earlier. Now, Buffy was in town too. Somehow, everybody was in Westeros. To top it off, Kaze became aware of the matter. He had a bad feeling that trouble was brewing in Westeros. “I don’t know why she’s here, but she’s the chairwoman of Gwake Corporation. The company has close business ties with the Barns.” Clarice picked up on Kaze’s nerves. She felt as if his friendship with Buffy was more than platonic. Buffy was likely i

“I’ve been too busy to meet lately. If that’s what you’re calling for, I should hang up.” Kaze’s response was curt. Without giving Clarice a chance to reflect, Kaze wanted to end the call. Clarice was at home. She went back yesterday, feeling down. However, she could not bring herself to give Kaze a call. When she woke up today, sheer disbelief kicked in, and she picked up the phone to call Kaze for validation. She felt horrible upon learning that Kaze’s girlfriend was the chairwoman of Gwake Corporation. Kaze and his girlfriend were perfect, seeing how successful they both were. However, something did not sit right with Clarice. They did not seem close enough to be dating since Buffy had no idea where Kaze was. They appeared more like regular friends, but Buffy admitted to Clarice’s face that they were seeing each other. Clarice was eager to seek Kaze's confirmation. “If you hang up on me, I will make you pay. I have other reasons to call you, too.” Clarice panicked w

It only dawned on Dwight that these business moguls had the means to deliver gifts to Kaze, but they simply chose not to. They only passed the things to Dwight because he was a pushover. If Dwight could not complete the task, they had ways to set him straight and make him cough everything back up—something they would not get if they had gone through Edmund. Since they could not afford to cross Edmund, they would have cut their losses. Such was the difference between the strong and the weak, and Dwight had experienced it firsthand. “I was wrong, Mr. Lee.” Dwight regretted his actions, realizing that he should not have gotten involved in the first place. “I’ve had too many rough days, and I couldn’t go on, so I figured to make a quick buck. I honestly didn’t think things would come to this.” Blinded by greed, Dwight made the wrong choice. His wisdom finally caught up, but it was far too late. Dwight was played, and those people had leverage over him. By giving in, Dwight w

“I wasn’t really thinking at the time. I thought it was my only shot. Please help me, Mr. Lee. I was wrong. Can you do it for my parents? Otherwise, I’m dead meat.” With remorse stirring within, Dwight sought Kaze for help. However, the last thing Dwight expected was for Kaze to stay out of it. Even after Dwight poured his heart out, Kaze refused to lend a hand. Dwight felt despair. “You brought this upon yourself. Let the lesson sink in, so you won’t stop making the same mistake again.” Kaze looked at Dwight indifferently. It was tough to handle Dwight when he behaved like that. It was true that Dwight had been a lot of help to Kaze. Thanks to Dwight, Kaze was able to stay under the radar, away from Morris when he entered the city. Now, Dwight was in trouble, and Kaze had the power to make this problem go away. However, Kaze did not want to give his word so quickly. Dwight needed to experience the pain before he could truly feel grateful. He needed a kick in the butt, or

“What’s the situation? What did you do yesterday?” Since Dwight was one of Kaze’s people, others would think twice before laying a finger on Dwight. By the haggard look on Dwight’s face, he sure had it rough. Dwight came across as beefy and dull. However, he could handle himself. It was hard to believe that he would let anyone walk all over him. Yet, he appeared roughed up today. “I went drinking with friends last night. A woman bumped into me during my trip to the men’s room, and she claimed that I touched her.“I knew I was being scammed right away. Later, several big guys surrounded me, dragged me into another room, and forced me to sign a paper to guarantee the return of everything I’ve received.” Dwight recounted the details, wiping a tear in between. He looked like a poor soul. “In other words, you organized the dinner because those people presented you with gifts.” Though Kaze had a hunch, he was surprised to receive confirmation. He did not think Dwight would sto

“Hurry up and sign the paper. No more nonsense. Your time is running out,” the group pressed.Out of alternatives, Dwight had to sign and put his fingerprint on the document at their demand. Before Dwight could get a good look at the terms and conditions, the group pulled the paper from under his hands. They smirked when they saw the signature on the paper. “You have three days to return everything. If you fail to do so, we have ways to make you.” Several beefy guys put the paper away and walked out of the room. The girl was the last to go. She stood before Dwight and admired the stunned look on his face. Dwight plucked his head up and stared at the girl bitterly, unable to figure out why she would do such a thing. “I have no beef with you. Why are you setting me up?” Dwight’s question stemmed from frustration. “Yes, we have no beef, but you brought this upon yourself by keeping things that aren’t yours. They wouldn’t let you off the hook, so we came for you. That’s what y
