“Fine! My name is Paul. I am part of the Sevens Brothers, I just recently joined. I was given my first mission to steal a baby with eight legs. And don’t ask who, because that’s all I was told.”
The Sevens Brothers again! How many are they and why cant we seem to find them?” Mika shouted angrily. “The Sevens Brother’s are everywhere. You cant find them, but they will find you. New members have to wear a mask until they complete their first mission. That is why I don’t know their place.” “Then you are not useful at all to us.Let’s kill him.” said Mika. Grabbing the thief by the neck. “No! Tell us more,we need more.” The thief was gagging for air, trying to speak. “Let him go”. “The man who sent me told me its a favour for his doctor friend.I didn’t bother asking much, because that’s not what we realIn my junior year of highschool, I developed a liking for tatooes, they attracted me somehow. Some of the girls in my class had ones made on their bodies. Butterflies, dragons, snakes and even faces of popular people. I loved tatooes, but my mother didn’t. She believed that tatooes attracted evil spirits.so I forgot the entire tatoo idea, trying to be an obedient child. Instead of doing tatooes I chose to paint another way of releasing the things I felt inside of me.“Miss Mokoena, Mr Ludik, come in I have been expecting you.” said Mr Phenyo.Mika and I sat down.“I came for the file, I have been told about a new case, involving tatooes.” I said.Mr Phenyo smiled, he brought with him a two files then handed it over to each of us. “When you are in this line of work, you don’t always have to be secretive, speak to someone, be open don’t use people without their knowledge, it only puts you in gre
At the Steakhouse Diner..“Welcome, would you like a menu?” asked one of the waiters.“Coffee will do.” I replied.“And what about you sir?”Mika observed the menu,as well as Katleho. They both seemed indecisive about what to order.“Give me a T-bone steak with chips. Said Mika.“Oh my word, seriously” I said."What? I eat when I'm anxious."Katleho also ordered the same meal as Mika's."“Sir, can you also call the manager while you’re at it. We need his help its urgent!” I said. The manager arrived quicker than expected. A fine looking manager she was. With her perfectly tailored jacket, green in colour, matching with the theme of the restaurant. She and my mother would get along perfectly. The green team would be their new nickname.“Good afternoon. I am Lira, the manager you called. What
.My mother had her evening dress on, she looked amazing.“wow mom you look really hot in that dress!” I said, teasing.“I am 50 year old woman, I am supposed to look hot.” she laughed.I weared my usual clothes, but my mother made me change them, she chose a red laced dress, then cut in on the legs, to make it shorter, she quickly sewed a red silouhette on the top of the breast part making it look fashionable. I was impressed. She was not bad at fashion after all but I chose better jackets. Like father, like daughter.Sam showed up at the right time. He was wearing a red T-shirt, and blue jeans, his hair was perfect, it reminded me of superman. We exchanged greetings. My mother was smiling, I guess she was impressed.“So what do you for a living Sam?” my mother asked, with an intimidating look in her eyes.“I am an IT specialist.” he did not even blink, but I did. My heart was pouding really fast.“how much do you make
A mirror gives of a reflection of who we are, it can also be used to help remind us of who we trully are. Like the song “Man in the mirror” by Michael Jackson we do need to take a look at ourselves first, change how we treat others first before expecting others to treat us well. That’s my understanding of the song. But there are many other ways to interpret its meaning. “Wow! Mom this looks delicious. Can I have a taste” I asked. The table was neatly covered with white linen, purple grapes overfilled the salad bowl, the cockery and cutlery carefully arranged in just the correct sequence. The kind of formal look you would see in expensive formal restaurant’s and five star hotels.“Leave those grapes alone. We will eat them when our guest arrives.” said Patricia, giving me a tap on the hand.“What guest?” I asked.“Don’t tell me you are throwing a party!”
At the Safehouse…Katleho was sipping on coffee this time, she was watching Silent voices, my favourite show.“Is this season two?” I asked.“Yeah, how far are you?”“Season 5, episode 11.”“It’s hard not to get addicted. This show is epic.”“Tell me about it!” we laughed.Mika arrived.“What are you guys bragging about now?” he asked, throwing himself on the couch, causing the tea to spill.“Hey, I just washed these!” Katleho complained.“Sorry babe.” Said Mika, he looked genuinely sorry. “let me clean up this mess” he added.“No leave it! i will do it.” Katleho said, taking her stained towel to the laundry machine.“One day she’s going to dump me!”I laughed.“She wont,
Meeting with Sam's parents felt a little awkward, but great. I was glad that they didn't do any racist remarks. I looked at my phone and realised that it was time to leave for work. My mother had prepared bohobe. I put it into a plastic food container and left."You're late. Apparently Mr boss wants to see us in his office." Said Mika."And you waited for me to arrive to go in, what does your girlfriend have to say about that?" I teased.Mika paused,he said nothing until we entered Mr Phenyo's office. "Finally you came." Said Mr Phenyo, handing both Mika and I a casefile each."Thanks. Sir. We'll be in our way out." I said."Before you go,I want to thank you.""For?" Mika asked, I pinched him slightly on his hand.He brushed it off."For being patient with the organisation, for being loyal, for proving yourself worthy enough to be called Agents of the Hex. I know that it's not easy. This job can have it's.." Mr P
My mother would only call me during work hours only if it was an emergency. She respected protocol. When I arrived,I saw a second car parked in the yard. I didn't even have to knock at the door as it was wide open. It was as if calling out for me to enter."Finally, you're here!" Patricia shouted in excitement. She came towards me,then grabbed me by the hand, pulling me to her. "Come I want you to meet someone." She said. I kept my silence and wondered what it was I had to see. There she was, with bangles on her hand and large round ratings on her ears,it was Sam's mother,Lynette. Her eyes widened when I entered the dining room. I exchanged greetings with Lynette. She offered me a long hug and I could smell her sweet rose perfume."I am sure you're curious about why we are all here. The wedding is happening in two months and we still don't have a caterer!" Patricia stated.I couldn't feel my cheeks for that moment, I was embarrassed, how could I have f
Watching silent voices on my laptop, helped remind me that life doesnt end now,but instead continues on. I sometimes wondered what I would feel once I was dead, would I cry? Feel sad? Feel angry? Or feel hurt? There are times where I also wish I could change things that happened, make wiser decisions, and if there was a way to turn back time or rather be in a different timeframe then return back to the present I would do so.Limitless, how I wish I could wander freely, having no regrets, doing wise decisions all the time. I would be right all the time. Hmmm.. but such things only exist in my thoughts well, some of them do."I can't believe it,my baby is getting married!" My mother shouted. I had finished eating my breakfast in peace, I didn't expect to see my mother so early in the morning."Morning to you too" I said, then rushed to the door hoping to escape my mother's long repeated conversations."Oh Lee when will I see
