Elektra's pov:
-"How dare he come here and tell me he misses me days after he found his mate? What kind of man is he?"' I asked my wolf, Frostie.
-"You should have at least let him talk to you. Listen to what he wanted to tell you..." Frostie reasoned.-"Talk to me and tell me what? About how much he wants to be with me despite the fact that he already has a mate? I understand that a mate is the most important thing for a wolf. If he didn't want her, all he had to do was reject her and find another instead of accept her, take her back to his pack and look for another lover".-"Maybe he wants to tell you that he has rejected her" Frostie contradicted.
-"If he wished to be with me, he should first have rejected his mate, and then come toAlexander's pov:It's been a week since I returned to my pack after Elektra's kind of rejection. I have decided not to bother her again. There was no reason for me to push her. If she wasn't willing to acknowledge me and accept me as her mate, I won't push her any further. My first priority was to put my plan into action. I had to avenge my father's killer and restore the order to the packs. The plan was simple but very dangerous. I knew the deeds of Bartholomew. All these years of watching him, I realized that he isn't the kind of guy who leaves anything to chance. He wants to control everything. He calculates and prepares his every move from start to finish. That's why we must be careful with every step we make.First, we had to strike hard at his financial dealings both legal and illegal. The in l
Bartholomews' pov:In seconds the place was filled with Council's high ranked wolves and lots of guards.-"You are surrounded. Raise your hands and surrender. Don't do anything stupid" came a deep male voice from afar.We raised our hands and waited in place when tall and well-built men approached us. They had their faces covered and were armed with high-tech weapons. I have seen these weapons at a military exhibition three months ago. The Council must have procured them. I didn't expect this from them. Lately the Council is more than active and doesn't function as aconsulting organization anymore.-"There has been a misunderstanding. We are innocent" Richard started to say aloud.-"Shut the hell up" ordered one of the guards and pushed him into the van. Then he pushed me in too. We got in and the door closed behind us. I signaled Richard to stop talking. We cou
Alexander's pov:I was in my office with Steve looking at the last details of our plan when the phone rang. It was John the Council's Military Counselor. After we spoke for a few minutes he hand up. Steve who all this time didn't lose eye contact with me gave me a questioning look. I took a deep breath and started explaining to him.-"John called and told me that Bartholomew is in a very difficult situation. He faces very serious charges" Ι told Steve.-" At last! We finally managed to catch him and his gang and put them behind bars" Steve commented satisfied.-"Don't rush to celebrate! Nothing is over yet! You know that Bartholomew won't sit tight!" I contradicted.-"What do you mean? He can't get away this time! The Council won't spare him"-"Ι am not talking about the Council"-"Then what? He is in p
Elektra's pov:It has been two weeks since the council handed down the verdict for my father: Thirty years in prison with no extenuating circumstances. As soon as I heard it, I was devastated. I still can't believe how blind the Court has been. Richard managed to put the blame on my father for all the illegalities and everyone believed him just like that.Father swore to me that he was innocent and I believe him. Why lie to me? He was always honest with me. The only thing he did wrong that day was that he trusted his best friend and accompanied him. A friend who betrayed him in the end and presented my father as the sole mastermind of all his illegal actions. I suspected Richard was hiding something since we visited his pack. I found it strange that his pack was so lavish when his companies were few and small. I wonder why father didn't see it
Alexander's pov:Cassandra stood in front of me looking up at the stars. She was wearing a t-shirt and pants and had her hair done in a messy bun.-"What are you doing here so late at night?" I asked her while she turned around surprised.-"Did I scare you?" I asked again.-"No, no... I just didn't expect anyone to be up so late."-"Oh...I see....What you are doing here?"-"I couldn't sleep and decided to come here and watch the stars" she answered timidly.-"Do you want me to keep you company?"
Elektra's pov:Eight months have passed since my father was imprisoned and yet nothing has happened. Our appeal was rejected by the Supreme Court and there was nothing more we could do to free my father from prison. I was so devastated by the news while my father didn't seem to be affected at all. He kept telling me that everything was going to be all right and not to worry about him. I just couldn't understand him. What's wrong with him? Didn't he realize that he was going to spend the rest of his life in prison? Didn't he worry about it? How could he be so cool and relaxed? At least the packaging stuff was better. My reforms were accepted by the majority of the pack. Although there were some objections to the new position the omega would have in our pack, they eventually caved. Everything returned
Elektra's pov:The news of my father's escape spread like an atomic bomb through the werewolf community. Panic ensued along with worry and fear. Everyone knew or at least suspected what my father was going to do now that he was out of jail.Knowing father I was sure that he would take revenge on his prosecutors who unjustly imprisoned him. I can't say I agree with that, but it's not my place to judge. I don't know what I would do if I put myself in his shoes. I really hope he lets it all go and decides to spend the rest of his life in peace. When the prison break was announced, Council's guards and warriors arrived and camped here waiting for my father to come and capture him. Our pack was also filled with weapons, rules and many prohibitions. My pack members were already annoyed by the way the Council and the other packs had acted against us so far, so when all these people came here making our lives unbearable, many pack members complained about it. I tried to calm them down to no a
Alexander's pov:Due to recent events, the Council decided to meet with all the Alphas and give us instructions on the fugitives' subject. The meeting would be held in the Black Moon's pack territory. Orestes, in addition to being the Alpha of this pack, was one of my best friends and the Council's most trusted allies. The place was deliberately chosen as we had to be very careful. With Bartholomew out of prison, we were afraid of reprisals. Many Alphas were still loyal to him and his gang. Although all the known members of his gang were caught, we suspected that there were many more that secretly helped him in his illegal activities. Now that he was out they wouldn't hesitate to help him again in any way possible for a good price. It was Friday night wh
