Arriving to my house didn't take long after the funeral. The sun was starting to set already. We left last from the cemetery, Zayn and I. He sat on a bench just outside the cemetery for almost two hours, waiting for me. Giving me the space and time to grieve. He didn't bother me once and when I found him and told him I was ready to go, he simple nodded and smiled saying 'After you, Princess.'

Most would think that after those two hours, my mood would be heavily impacted more than earlier and that my pain would have gotten worse. But quite the opposite, I took the first step closer to adapting to this fundamental change in my life. I knew he wouldn't be alive in the flesh, my father, but no matter what he would always be there.
