ADHYAY – 4

After 6 Months

The clean blue carpet of sky wrapped the Neptune and the house of Kesari. The home was happy. Kesari, Anjana; both were engaged with their baby – Hanuman. With tiny hands, small fingers, but the strong tightening of them. Small tail as all the Neptunian had, continuously making various patterns in the air. Eyes were wide and dark black, stored many mysteries. He was swinging on the lap made by Kesari joining his hands. A cute smile widened his lip. Slowly, the bond started configuration between them—a bond of Father and son. Kesari’s support made by his hands generated confidence in the baby. Anjana sat right side of Kesari and put her hand on the forehead of Hanuman. Fingers travelled from the short hair. Tough of mother made Hanuman happier. He tried to move his eyes to the right. Anjana took him from Kesari’s lap, and Hanuman giggled. The hall echoed the sound. Kesari and Anjana, also smiled at each other, made themselves busy with Hanuman.

‘Kesari…’, Bruhashpati entered the hall. Hall was decorated nicely. But the odd thing was that it was decorated with the various waste parts of spacecraft, he amazed, ‘What is this? A baby needs toys, not the parts of such a device.’

Kesari stood up and walked to Bruhashpati, managed his cloth as Hanuman played with it, ‘Dear, father – Hanuman will become a great engineer in the field of space science. And so, he will be interested in the same field. He must start his journey with these toys only.'

Anjana put Hanuman on the bed, protected by the pillow on both sides, came to Bruhashpati, and bowed down, ‘I also complaining the same father. Why such waste materials are to be hanged in the room?’

Kesari gave a sweet smile and suggested, ‘Once a person wants to be a specialist in the selected area, he must know every detail about the same. So, suppose my dream for Hanuman is related to space. In that case, he must experience various devices specifically utilized in the space.’, he looked straight into Anjana’s eyes, ‘My beloved, this one is the base preparation for him. Just that only.’

Bruhashpati came near to Hanuman, lift. Hanuman looked at him and tried to rest his head on Bruhashpati’s shoulder. Bruhashpati allowed and started to swing him with a prayer for Shiva, their believed god. Within fifteen seconds, Hanuman slept. With the clue, Anjana took Hanuman from Bruhashpati, and left for another room where Hanuman could sleep without disturbing the outer region. Kesari gestured Bruhashpati for took a seat, and both occupied the space precisely opposite to each other. Bruhashpati asked about the plan and the black viscose liquid that Kesari got from the soiled black area. Kesari explained his finding. His machine suggested that black liquid was natural oil.

Natural oil is also known as Crude oil, a naturally occurring fossil fuel that comes from the remains of dead organisms. Crude oil is the mixture of hydrocarbons - hydrogen and carbon atoms- in liquid form in underground reservoirs in the spaces within sedimentary rocks. Or can find it near the surface in oil sands. It is often found alongside natural gas and saline water. It is non-renewable - once it’s gone, it’s gone and cannot be easily replaced.

Many years ago, the Earth found the same oil. It consisted with many essential liquids as a mixture, the inventors on the Earth was distilled out them at various temperature. They utilized all, and now, suffering for the same source. Kesari collected all the details and put the heavy file on the table for Bruhashpati. Anjana disturbed their discussion, came with the juice of a fruit grown on the Neptune. Kesari lifted the glass, Anjana took a seat near him. Discussion rose again. Bruhashpati flapped the pages in a file that Kesari had organized in a significant manner. After a discussion of an hour, the trio decided to launch a new venture.

‘Sir…! We have received the order from the Saturn… for 150 spacecraft…’, The manager entered the cabin owned by Bali.

After betraying Kesari, in nine months – Bali secured the top position in the spacecraft manufacturing industries. The Universe was amazed as he was only fourteen when he started the journey, and on the completion of fifteen – he was at the pick. One year and Bali had received much success. Nobody knew about the way how he secured such a position. Nobody thought about Kesari. Not the Universe. Not the Neptune. Kesari was in his struggling period again.

‘Great…! This one is the highest order we have received till today.’ Bali proudly looked in the east direction to observe the rising Sun.

‘Yes Sir...!’, The manager folded his hands.

‘From which planet we received the same?’

‘Sir…! The order is from the Saturn.’

‘The Saturn.’, Bali sat, put his hand on the table, and rotated his first finger on the juice cup, ‘The Saturn’, he closed his eyes and murmured, “Ravan”

Bali lifted the cup of juice and sipped. Again, he closed his eyes. Why Ravan wanted a significant number of spacecraft? What was the purpose? What was he planning? Why did Bali care about that? He took another sip, put the cup on the table, and left his chair to visit the workshop where he and his team manufactured various types of spacecraft.

During his visit, his brother Sugriva was companied him. Both were analyzing various parts made by different departments, which assembled for creating a spacecraft. Designing was the only department where Sugriva was not allowed to enter. Bali handled it. As they reach near the design department, Sugriva asked, ‘Dear, Brother. Why not hired Kesari? He is good at design.’

‘Sugriva… You do what I say. You have to obey only. Don’t try to suggest your idea in business.’, Bali’s cheek was red. Nose blown. Eyes widened.

‘Why you are angry? It was just a suggestion.’

‘Don’t try to play with me, Sugriva. You are trying to do the same what I did one year ago.’, Bali came closer to Sugriva. He straightly looked at Sugriva’s face.

           ‘But… Brother…’

Bali put his finger on his lip, ‘Shhhh…don’t utter the word now…otherwise…’, Bali’s arrogance was high. He didn’t want to hear Sugriva.

‘Otherwise… what? I have also poured my blood into this industry and the whole establishment set by Kesari. You cheated him and occupied his place. Though I supported you in that sin, you are saying me. Otherwise, Now, tell me, Otherwise. What?’, This time Sugriva was on fire.

Bali jostled Sugriva, ‘Otherwise… you will be killed by me…Idiot’, Bali left the iron rod from the corner of the design department and raised it for attacking. Sugriva was afraid. He ran away. Bali was behind him, ‘Sugriva… Stop. Today is your last day on the Neptune. Soon, you will be with Shiva.’, Bali threw the rod, and it hit the back of Sugriva. He fell. Bali reached, left the rod, and smashed on the Sugriva’s right shoulder. Sugriva screamed. Sugriva gathered some energy and tried to run again. Somehow, he managed and escaped from the industry. Bali was still behind him. They both were on the street road of Kishkindha.

The road travelled from mainline to subline; it turned to the river and the city's main gate. Sugriva was near the entrance. Bali aimed Sugriva and threw the rod. Rod hit Sugriva’s leg, and he impinged with the gate. He numbed. As Bali was on the attack, Riksharaja fell in between. He knew that Sugriva was not that much able to fight with Bali. He wanted to save Sugriva’s life. Riksharaja promised Bali that Sugriva would not visit the industry in future, and whole the empire was powered by him only. Bali’s eyes were dancing. He was dancing. At such a young age, he had the power. He left the place and walked towards the unit. Riksharaja supported Sugriva and took him, and stepped slowly.

Sugriva asked in a low tone, ‘Where we are going, Father?’, his breath was uneven.

‘At my friend’s house. However, my son has guiled him. He will surely help us.’

           ‘Who?’

           ‘My childhood friend, Kesari.’

At Kesari’s Home, Evening

Riksharaja knocked on the door. Anjana opened it. As Riksharaja entered the hall. Kesari was on the chair opposite the door. He saw Riksharaja, ‘Why you came here?’

Before Riksharaja answered, Sugriva spoke in distress. He was pressing his right shoulder with his left palm. It looked like the shoulder bone was broken. The pain was unbearable. Tears were rolled out from his eyes. Face turned red as a blood spot was jammed on it. He came near Kesari’s feet. Bowed down, ‘Uncle…! What my brother has done to you? I know. But in that particular matter involvement of my father is nil. I was somewhere attached to the propaganda. But still, I am also not aware of the whole industry. I obey my brother’s order. He threw my father as he became the unit owner, and today he threw me out of the same.’, Sugriva cried loudly.

Kesari put his hand on Sugriva’s head, gave him comfort. He gave an afflicted look to Anjana. She understood, and went to the storeroom, came up with first aid accessories. Sugriva was bandaged with Minor injuries. Kesari also called his family doctor at home only. He knew, if Sugriva was hospitalized, then Bali would attack there. So, the medical treatment should be done at home. He gave a comfortable chair to Sugriva for rest. Riksharaja also settled, and the floor was turned red. Sugriva was not that hurt by the weapon. Then how the floor was that much red? Kesari came to know that the blood was flooded from where Riksharaja was settled. He saw a big dent near Riksharaja’s stomach; Riksharaja noticed Kesari’s eyesight. He recalled the fight between Bali and Sugriva. When Bali attacked with the rod, which was sharp at the edges, Riksharaja interacted. The decisive stroke of the rod hit Riksharaja. But he didn’t feel. But as Kesari recognized, Riksharaja also felt the pain. He gave a puzzled look to Kesari.

Kesari explained, ‘See, My friend, Bali applied the principle of chemistry. The rod which he had used was coated with ether. So when stabbed with it, you feel a mild effect as ether evaporates gradually at room temperature. When it completely evaporates, a person feels pain, till that action no one can feel any pain.’ Riksharaja nodded; Kesari continued, ‘I found the liquor only to clean the inner part spacecraft. So after cleaning, it evaporates, the vessel becomes neutral and is ready for utilization for fuel burning. Your son studied well about the chemistry, I must appreciate.’

‘Yes, uncle’, Sugriva said, ‘He had studied all subjects deeply. Now, he is applying the acquired knowledge in related areas.’

The discussion was stopped with the weeping of Hanuman. Anjana came up from the room with Hanuman. Sugriva came with lammed leg near Hanuman, held his hand, ‘Will you become my friend?’

Hanuman held Sugriva’s finger tightly and smiled. All present in the room was surprised by the action. Sugriva announced, ‘From today, Hanuman and I are friends. He is like my younger brother. I will be there for him till my breath is alive.’

Everyone was happy; Anjana cleaned the droplets gathered near her eyelids; Kesari felt proud. Hanuman still was giggling and looking into Sugriva’s eyes.
