{NYRA}

“What's wrong, cupcake? What happened? A masculine voice broke through the chaos.

I knelt to the ground. Tears welled up in my eyes as I held the disaster paintings, which were no longer recognizable.

Jayden came beside me and grazed his hands on my shoulder. His face held confusion. He wondered why I became this way.

He crouched and raised my chin to stare at him. “Hey, hey, hey… what happened, Nyra. Look at me.”

“Tell me.”

“It's all over. There’s no hope for me anymore, Jayden,” I sniffed back the mucus. My eyes were closed tightly. Tides of lost hope went through me. Coming in and out every second.

The more I stared at the painting that I thought would ignite my breaking point— a painting ruined by my carelessness. It became heavier and depressing it became.

“My— my painting. I— don't know how it happened. I spoiled it. I— ruined it.”

Jayden gazed down at the huge canvas that stuck to the floor. Lifeless. Unrecognizable. Ugly like a beast.

    {NYRA}“What’s this?” A little note was beside the food Jayden prepared for me.My heart pumped. I was curious to know the inside content. “I’m positive that it’s another romantic gesture from him again,” my lips dangled in amusement. However, I picked it up. It was tiny in my hands. Regardless— it was mine.And the letter went like this: “I hope you enjoyed the food. You were so sound asleep that I didn't want to wake you up.”That explained why I was here. He brought me to our bedroom after I had fallen asleep. Gosh! I hope I wasn't too heavy.“I wanted to prepare your food myself— so I woke up earlier. By now— I know you would have probably been there.”Yikes! My eyes widened in realization. “Oh lord… I hope it's not 10am yet. If not I'm screwed.” I searched for my phone on the bed. It wasn't there. So I leaned towards the wooden drawer on the floor and I combed through it inside the purse. “It's gotta be around there somewhere,” my voice, barely above a whisper.“Ahh… seen

    {NYRA}Jayden sat still throughout the whole painting. He never budged or made any move. The only thing that changed positions was his smoky eyes. “Why do you keep staring at me like that?” I groaned, fighting back the urge to bite my lips.He had warned me not to. Although the stubbornness in me wished to dare him. But it was best not to test the sleeping waters. Else— I might just fucking give in to whatever arousal tonight may bring.“You look gorgeous, that's why. And I'm not wrong to stare at my wife. Am I?” he blabbed. Every word of his got me delulu. “Jayden— quit talking. You’ll ruin the painting,” I sighed, nodding my head.Secretly— I enjoyed tonight. It was a new feeling it brought me. Me with Jayden. Being in the same room. Painting him half-naked. Even though I despised admiting how much I fancied his words. The way ‘my wife’ slipped out of his mouth— got me ecstatic.“You might have to shut your eyes, Mr pervert,” I teased him as well.I almost giggled at the way

    {NYRA}My feet lunged faster as it could carry me— away from that fucking hot man.Like lighting, I went into the room. My studio. I shut the door behind me. In case he searched for me.My body couldn’t take it tonight.“Why does he keep doing that,” I groaned.I sat in front of the mirror, staring at my own reflection. My face had turned instant dark red. My nipples perked out.You could easily see the erection from the fabric.I moved both my hands to my head. Stabling it as if it would fall to the ground. My brain was still in a processing stage.“Nyra, get a hold of yourself,” I frowned. Then I felt my lips. This time my expression switched into a full smile. “We almost kissed.”I felt a heavy flow in the middle of my pussy. I touched it.It was warm and sticky in my fingers. My orgasm. I was fucking loaded with wetness.He turned on all my desires to the fullest. I was too horny from all the romantic gestures he made me go through this evening.“Jayden and I almost fucking kissed

    {JAYDEN}She didn't even give me a chance to explain myself. I spread out my hands and stared at the ring I paid a blacksmith to make for me in Shanghai. It was extremely difficult to find the best ring carver. I remembered looking for him in an entire fucking town. Asking for names from foreigners who could hardly comprehend a word from my mouth.Damn sure was it fucking expensive— but she was worth it.I wouldn't mind getting the whole galaxy for Nyra. She completed me. And yes—it was a bit selfish, or harshly selfish.But— frankly, I couldn't stay away— a single day from her. I’ve tried. It's fucking just not working for me. Now that she was finally with me. “Massimo—” I whispered. “What the hell was he doing with my sister? What were they both doing?” My mind flickered and wandered. But hell— nothing came out. Just blank pages. Soon— I ran after Nyra. “Nyra— please wait. Why’re you angry at me?”“Good evening, Mr Jayden.”My neck tilted to meet Jessa and the nosy one, Nora.

    {NYRA} I swear— I never knew I had a breath I was holding onto till I got into the car. “Oh god. Oh god. She almost caught me.” Streetlights flickered to life as we drove, their glow stretching into long blurs across the window. The sky outside was bruised with indigo, the last traces of daylight fading behind the city. Each passing light felt like a pulse, quick and sharp, reminding me how close I had come, how fragile my secret was. Phill noticed my mood. My hands kept repeating themselves on my chest. “Ms, Nyra… are you alright?” Any moment now— there was going to be a panic attack, and I might not survive it. “Yeah, yeah… I’m fine,” I gasped for breath. I looked in the rearview mirror. Eyes staring at him as I nodded my head. Simply to assure him. Then I looked at my right fingers. The wedding ring was hooked to one— glowing even in the evening. It made its little haven on my skin. It left me no choice but to vent my anger on the little thing that should make me v
