Roonie was connected to oxygen and a monitor, and nurse Layla quickly got in place.

Since there's no surgical lightning, Rook and the other three medics had to turn on their phone torchlights for her.

"It's a silver-tip-hollow- point bullet, and the kinetic energy is obviously low, reason why he's still jerking" she said shakily.

"Just work! Don't talk!" Rook shouted at her.

"Ok....ok" she swallowed, picking the scalpel.

She started the opening up of Roonie's head, and she started crying.

"I really don't know anything about this surgery! I'm just a nurse!!!"

"Work!" Rook retrieved his gun, pointing at her head.

The other medics started peeing on themselves.

"If he dies, I'll kill you" Rook told nurse Layla, and she sucked in a breath.

She wasn't breathing as she finally started the surgery.

Removal of the bullet took roughly ten minutes, and the moment she dropped the bullet on the ground, she gulped.

"Thankfully, no..no important brain structures were injured" she stuttered, then she began stitching the opened part back in place, but then, Roonie's oxygen intake stopped.

His lungs stopped taking in oxygen, and his monitor went down.

"I...I think he's dead...I think he's dead!!!!!!" Nurse Layla cried out, the suture and needle falling from her shaky bloody hands.

Rook pushed her away and took charge, pressing Roonie's chest and calling his name repeatedly.

"Roonie! You will live, you hear me? You must breath, ok? You've never had a peaceful day of your own remember? You said you wanted to be an hotelier, and your hotel has been completed since you were 20... Who are you gonna leave it to? Roonie! Roonie! Roonie!!!"

The ambulance driver drove into the first hospital he saw when they entered the city, and several doctors were already waiting.

Rook was pushed off as he was taken in on a stretcher, and the race into the hospital started.

Rook ran after them with nurse Layla, but the theater door closed on their faces, so they have to wait in front of it.

Nurse Layla sat on the ground in front of the door, her hands still shaking and her white uniform full of Roonie's blood.

Rook's red hands went into his hair as he paraded the place, remembering how Roonie gave him the antidote to the poison back then.

Tears came out of his eyes again.

"He must live.. Roonie must live I swear. He must...

Uncle Edward rushed in with his wife Kara, and when they saw nurse Layla's bloody uniform and Rook's bloody hands, they started crying too.

"Please tell me he's still alive! Tell me Roonie is not gone for good! Please assure me!!" Kara started crying.

"He's in with the surgeons" Rook said in a broken voice.

Kara only cried harder.

Uncle Edward just locked up, holding his crying wife and praying for a miracle.

He got his phone and googled about the survival of a head bullet.

There are few cases, VERY FEW cases of survival, so he began praying inwardly for a miracle.

A miracle is the only helpful thing right now.

Suddenly, the main door opened, and Master X ran in with Hazzan.

He's not with his stick, and his unbalanced left leg almost made him fall as he took each fast step till he got to them.

"Where's my son?" He asked.

No answer.

"Where is my son!!!" He yelled.

"You have no right to call him that, Xavier! No fuçking right! So now that he's at the point of death, you suddenly remember he's your son? The son you hate?" Uncle Edward said stiffly.

Master X made to enter the theater, but Hazzan pulled him back.

"I need to see my son!!" He yelled again, tears coming out of his eyes shockingly.

"Stop calling him that!!" Kara yelled back at him, and he started crying in full.

"You never cared, did you? He lived most of his life in his room, in the dark under his bed, crying! You never cared Xavier! After your wife Xusan died, you left him at the hospital remember? I was the one who took him as a baby! I breastfed him like my own child! You never asked of him and each time I and my husband brought him to you, you sent us away! He would have grown up as a sweet boy but you ruined him! He acts like he doesn't care but he cares! Do you know the question he asks on his birthday every year?" Kara ranted, breathing heavily.

Master X continued crying.

"He'll be like... DID FATHER SEND ANY GIFT?" Kara continued.

Master X's tears increased.

"He still called to ask that question today Xavier! He loves you so much despite your hatred. He'd do anything to gain your love but you thwarted his efforts at your feet! You're not a father Xavier! Xusan would hate you if she has been seeing everything up there, you're a beast!" Kara yelled in tears, and Edward had to hold her so she won't breakdown.

"No leave me alone! Tell Xavier to get out! He's not needed here!" She cried hurtfully.

Rook wiped his tears, but new ones fell immediately.

Nurse Layla is still sitting there, shaking.

Hazzan doesn't even know what to do, he looked speechless and helpless.
