Their eyes locked for a while before they focused on the class agaiñ.

At exactly 2pm, they had their first break, and everyone broke out to the cafeteria.

"I'm so exhausted, can't we just skip the remaining one class and go home?" Morgan complained as the girls sat on their usual table.

They picked the cafe menu and ordered their cravings then waited for it to come.

"Who were you texting in class earlier?" Morgan asked.

"Can you stop poking your nose around?" Pearl groaned.

"Nuh-uh...till I die" Morgan replied, and Lizzy laughed.

"It's still baffling that none of us is in a relationship" Rebekah said.

"Cross Pearl out of that list, she'd become a nun" Morgan replied.

"Me too, who'd wanna date a girl who foams from the mouth?" Lizzy replied, pinching herself underneath.

"Wifey, you're beautiful and that's on period" Rebekah said, and Lizzy chuckled.

"Hey girls!" Isaac's voice broke into their conversation as he joined them, holding Teal's hand.

"I said it's fine! Isaac!" Teal said through tightened teeth, trying to take her hand from him.

"No it's not" Isaac replied.

"Hey what's up?" Morgan smiled.

"Can we eat lunch with y'all today?" Isaac replied.

"Of course" Lizzy nodded.

Isaac quickly got two extra chairs, and he settled down with Teal who's looking awkward.

"This is new, you both don't socialize, what changed?" Rebekah asked.

"We wanted a change" Isaac said

"Just you" Teal muttered, drinking some water.

Pearl smiled, liking her spirit immediately.

Their orders arrived, and everyone began stuffing their faces with meals.

"Heard our department is going for an all nighter trip on Saturday" Isaac said.

"Yeah, the yearly thingy, and i can't wait" Morgan replied cheerfully.

Pearl is still eating her apple when she felt eyes on herself, so she looked up to find Tealstaring.

Teal smiled shortly, she returned the smile.

GRAND CASINO, 5PM*

Roonie's motorbike drove roughly into the property, the exhaust mixing with his natural scent in the air.

Even after he parked and came out of the car, his helmet remained intact on his head.

He used the iron door and stepped on the stairs which led to the underground chamber.

It's starting to get heated as the gamblers are already gathering, and he had to remove his helmet cos of heat.

His aura is unmistakable.

Immediately the gamblers saw his face and recognized him as the son, they stopped their chats, and quietness happened.

Some even bowed their heads, unable to look him in the eye till he left the outer room.

He entered Master X's office and met him talking with Hazzan.

Hazzan had to leave immediately, and the man looked up.

"Seeing you here again is apparently because you heard about the change in plans. How do you feel having Rook as your sudden brother, and how do you feel having him on the throat of that girl" he said emotionlessly.

"You must have forgotten the part where I said I'm done protecting or watching her for you" Roonie replied, his brows dipping.

"Will you really be able to do that?" Master X stood, grabbed his walking stick before walking to him slowly.

Roonie never moved an inch till he arrived and stood facing him.

"You've been watching her for three years. You've been her shadow even without her own knowledge, tell me how you'd be able to watch her get hurt" he said and laughed.

"I watched myself get hurt a lotta times, and I liked it. She's not my priority, and I fuçking mean it" Roonie replied.

The man smiled with his eyes as Roonie walked out of the office.
