Rue smiled satisfactorily behind the crowd.

Pearl finally came out, and breaths seized.

She began struggling to breath, diving and surfacing frantically.

Jeremy came running from the back, but just as he was about to jump in, Levi's arm wrapped on his shoulder.

"Let me go!!" He struggled, and Roonie smiled devilishly, leaning to his ear.

"You save her, you die" he whispered.

Roonie's threatening voice in his ears felt like a rolling stone, crushing his eardrums completely.

He panicked as he watched Rue who's still struggling in the water, and it's as if the other students are under a spell.

None of them moved an inch or even tried to save her.

No one likes Rue, a total bîtch to everyone,.

"Doesn't she look good struggling in the water like this?" Rue's voice reached Jeremy's ears again, and he gulped.

"Please... please let me...save her" he begged as tears finally fell from his eyes.

Roonie shifted his eyes to the water, focusing back on Rue.

She's starting to lose strength, and any moment from now, she'd stop struggling and drown__and die.

Roonie badly wants to see that, but...

Someone suddenly pushed past the crowd and jumped in the pool.

He swam madly fast to her and dragged her, swimming back to the poolside within two minutes.

He brought her out and lay her beside the pool, then she began vomiting water non-stop till blood came out of her nose.

Roonie released Jeremy, and he rushed to her, so Rook came to Roonie.

"You trespassed again, Banks" he gritted his teeth.

"Is there a rule that says I can't?" Roonie replied stonily, and eyes widened.

* He actually talks?

* What the...hell!

* I need a full explanation.

"And trespassing ain't the right word to use. I was only taming a whore" Roonie continued, and Rook smirked.

"You almost killed her!"

"Be thankful that I didn't" Rook muttered and removed his spectacles and cap, dropping them on the ground before walking out of the hall.

Despite Rue's condition, she rushed to the discarded cap and spectacles, picked them and sniffed them obsessively.

"She's insane" Isaac said beside Teal.

Teal just walked out without any comment, and as usual, Isaac rushed after her.

Rook remained standing, feeling subdued and disrespected, and little.

He looked around and saw students staring at him...

"The fûck are y'all moping at? Get your eyes away or I'mma thaw them out!" He yelled.

The students quickly made way for him as he walked out of the hall too.

The swimming supervisor came in afterwards, but she was surprised to see the mess.

"Cancel the class, I'm hurt" Rue told her.

"But...

"I said I'm hurt! Cancel the damn class!" Rue angrily pushed her into the pool.

* Fûck!

The lecturer swam to the pool wall, so wet and drenched and shaky.

Rue took Jeremy's wallet and got some euro notes from it, throwing it at the woman in the pool.

"That's for your dry-cleaning" she said and walked out.

Jeremy ran after her, catching up at the hallway.

"Are you crazy? He pushed you into the pool, and all you could do was take his cap and spectacles to sniff?" He said.

Rue is still holding the two in her right hand.

"What's your point?" Rue scoffed.

"You're acting pointless like a broken pencil, and it's ...

Jeremy's words were cut short when Teal's palm met with his cheek, hard.

She slapped him, and he staggered, blood trickling from the corner of his lip.

"Know your place, big brother... capisce?(understood?)" She glared, going closer.

"Yes" he muttered, holding his burning cheek .

"Good" Rue muttered, walking out on him.

Isaac and Teal appeared at the other end of the hallway again, they've been watching.

"Is Jeremy really the senior?" Isaac muttered in awe.

"He's a stooge, maybe there's some secret between them" Teal spoke, and Isaac nodded.

"Library?" She faced him.

"After you" he replied, and she smiled slightly as they left together.
