I turned back when I heard footsteps approaching, ready to welcome the newcomers. My eyes landed on Mindy’s neck, which was still a bit swollen.

“Oh, my Goddess! You’re marked!” I exclaimed, forgetting that I was the one who said not to say anything, but I couldn’t contain the happiness I felt for them.

Mindy had never shared her thoughts about marking, but Zach had told me how Arlo wanted to mark her so badly but was hesitant to ask her. Arlo didn’t want Mindy to think she didn’t have a choice in that part.

But with the way her eyes were sparkling as she looked and smiled at me, I could tell she wanted that mark as much as Arlo, and that made me happier for them.

“Atta boy!” I heard Tyler say as he stood up and hugged Arlo while I hugged Mindy. I also saw Tyler checking Arlo’s neck, which meant she marked him back.

Everyone was congratulating them, so the whole table was noisy. I was smiling, looking at them as they sat together on the other side, but I couldn’t help my eye
