AMBER.

The smell of barbecue and fish wafted in the air, and it made me hungry, just like everyone else. So the girls and I came out of the water as lunch was almost ready.

“Oh, Goddess, this looks so delicious!” Catherine said as we approached the wooden table with benches around it, where we could sit.

“The only thing that smells better than this is my mate.” Amara blurted out as she sat beside me, but I saw her wink at Jace, who was still standing by the grill.

Jace flashed her a smug smirk before pointing the barbecue tongs he was holding toward her. “Amara Galhart, you need to stop that, or we’ll be the next ones to disappear into the forest. And I’m sure they won’t leave anything for us to eat.”

“I’ll be happy to eat just you, Rockstar! I can survive for a long… long time.” She teased him back.

Jace choked and coughed while Amraa winked at me and Catherine.
