CHAPTER 3: WHEN IT ALL FADES

Liyla is sitting at the canteen with her best friend Kate, they were both discussing the upcoming exams and how to schedule a reading time table when all of a sudden someone spilled some milk shake on her dress.

"oops sorry, I didn't know someone was sitting there, here have some money go clean yourself up, I know you can't make half of this in your entire life" Maddy purposely spilled her milk shake on Liyla to embarrass her and threw some dollar bills on her face to make her look cheap.

"Awwwn don't make her feel bad, you know she is an orphan and she will cry. There is no need apologizing because she won't understand hahahaha" Natalya also indirectly trying to make things worst. Some people who heard what they both said laughed and some felt pity for Liyla but could not dare to challenge the two most popular girls in school, it will end bad for them.

"You know, I can't tell what you two look like under the sun, yeah you look like zombies hungry for blood, why don't you two find something better to do instead of making stupid jokes i can't even tell to a baby" Kate stood up for her friend, even though Liyla was trying to stop her from talking she gave them a piece of her mind.

The whole place went silent, nobody could believe what just happened, not from a girl like Kate. When the students there started mumbling Maddy and Natalya left in rage, and the crowd stood up and clapped.

When school was over Liyla took her normal route going home and she noticed some students following her, two boys were chasing after her. Liyla starts running towards the express road but they caught up to her and pushed her to the ground, Liyla struggled to free her self but one of them slapped her hard on the face and blood came out of her mouth still the boys went ahead to tear her shirt, she started crying and begging for them to leave her alone.

"you are stupid to go against Maddy and Natalya, don't you know your limits, now we are going to teach you a lesson you would never forge."

" come on bro she is going to be delicious, look at that fresh skin." the other boy licked his lips, held her legs down and was trying to unzip her skirt to rape her when Daven appeared out of nowhere and kicked him hard on his face, the one holding her hands got up and brings out a small knife, he swinged it at Daven but he dodged swiftly, he again tried to stab him with the knife but Daven caught his hand half way, twisted his wrist and kicked him on the stomach and they both scribbled away.

"are you alright."

"yes I'm fine, thank you for helping me."

"it's okay, hope you are not injured?."

"No, i am alright, I will see you tomorrow, thanks alot."

Daven is just a nice guy even if it was not Liyla he would have done thesame, though Liyla said she was okay Daven refused to let her go alone, he followed her to the bus station and even escorted her home. Liyla was not quite comfortable with having guys at her home but Daven is not like others, she is kind of having trust in him now.

NIGHTMARE

When Liyla got home she went straight to bed and while resting she fell into a deep sleep. In a dream she saw some strange image talking to her, telling her how she can be freed from all her problems and ways she could make everyone who mistreat her suffer, it's not even a second before the place changed and she sees herself in a church.

Liyla wasn't moving but it kept taking her around the church into a secret passage and she stopped at a particular door, Liyla could hear voices but it was not clear to her hearing, something like "rule, power, freedom." in a moment blood started coming out from the bottom of the door like gushing water, she tried running but it seems her legs were stuck on the floor, Liyla screamed in fear, the blood splashed on her face and suddenly a skeletal hand grabbed her by the leg, pulling her towards the door, Liyla tried to free herself but the hand held her strong and forced her pass the door, she wanted holding on to something but it was too late as scream filled the air then she woke up from the dream sweating and panting. She doesn't know what to do to stop the Nightmares or what it meant.

The next day she was sleeping in the night, about 2pm again she was in a dream and when she opened her eyes she saw people hanging on sharp metals with blood dripping on the floor, an ominous voice howling everywhere.

Liyla started crying and running as fast as she can before everywhere went dark, she could here hissing sounds coming from behind like a rushing wind and ghost-like shadows moving in different directions, she turned in shock and behold!!! nothing was there except something really impossible, Liyla saw her father standing at a distance close to an open door, nothing was inside the room just darkness. Liyla slowly walked towards the door and called her father but he was just staring at something Liyla couldn't see.

"Dad is that you, dad! where is this place, I'm so scared!." She came close to him and behold a bloody sight, a demon with one eye plucked out, hanging on the eye socket and the left part of the brain was skulless pumping out blood like a running tap, then it stretched it's hand towards Liyla and tried to grab her by the hand. She screamed as loud as possible and fell on the floor crawling backwards, she continued crying and tried escaping but the demon was to fast, it cought her leg then choked her by the neck, raised her up above the ground, Liyla was loosing consciousness then the demon brought her close to his face.. snarling... opened it's mouth and bit her by the neck, sucking her blood dry as her eyes rolled to the back of her head, helpless....

In reality she is on her bed shaking like a convulsing patient, she held her neck screaming, and coughing violently as if she is choked before she woke up and fell off her bed but still unconscious.

When she regained consciousness it was already 8:am in the morning, Liyla went straight to the bathroom to shower but she became emotional and sat on the tub crying bitterly.

"What have i done to deserve all this!, why I'm i hunted in my sleep!, what!!! what!!! what have i done wrong." Liyla kept yelling and crying while the shower just kept running..

Another day Liyla got back from school, this time Daven followed her home, they cooked together, ate, played some games and after a little chitchat it was time for Daven to go home.

"So i guess we call it a day right, i would see you tomorrow at school." Daven smiled at her

"Yeah sure, thanks for coming." Liyla hugged him. She trusts him now but refused to tell him what happens to her at night.

Daven was surprised when Liyla embraced him, it was something he has longed wanted. after the short beautiful moment Daven left and Liyla knew it was time for another NIGHTMARE!!!!
