A hand clasped her mouth and her eyes flew open ,it was dark and someone was hovering above her, pressing his hands to her lips.
Fay wanted to let out a scream but it was muffled by the powerful hand against her mouth.
Some people were in the room, the door was ajar and she could make out two huge figures standing by the door.
What was going on?
Her heart was pounding madly against her chest and she was panicking, she tried struggling with whoever it was that pulled her roughly out of the bed and dragged her to her feet.
Another powerful hand twisted her hand painfully behind her and tied a cord around her wrist, the other hand still clasped to her mouth.
Fay tried with all the strength she could gather to fight whoever it was but the person was just too powerful.
A sharp pain came at her neck as the needle of a syringe dug into her neck and she felt something slid into her blood.
Fay felt paralyzed to the bones, she fell back against the bed , looking up at the ceiling without being able to move a muscle.
Her thoughts were running round in confused circles, she was afraid, she didn't know what was going on or who the people in her room were.
She thought of her mother and her heart started pounding again, but she couldn't move, not even to wiggle her toes.
“Get her up”One of them said, his voice hoarse and dry,”We have to take her out immediately"
Fay's eyes widened, she tried making a sound but she couldn't. She knew she had been injected ,she knew she couldn't do anything.
Her eyes moved to the door and she saw a figure standing there looking at her,it was a woman but she couldn't make out who it was,it was so dark.
“Make sure you do a smooth job this time" She was saying but again,Fay couldn't make out who had the voice.
It seemed whatever that was injected into her was making her lose some basic things, she was afraid as she lay there helpless on her bed.
The lady turned away and Faywas lifted from the bed ,her body limp and unresponsive , they dragged her through the dark corridor she tried to struggle but her muscle felt like lead refusing to obey her commands.
They took turns in the corridor but they weren't going through the main entrance, instead they took another turn and were heading in another dark corridor to the back door.
They reached the entrance of the mansion, through the back door they had taken and one of the men whispered something to the security guards.
They seemed to talk for some minutes and one of the men handed something to the security guard, they turned to look at her .
Fay couldn't make out what they were saying but the guards nodded and step aside ,allowing them to pass
Fay was thrown into the trunk of the car, her body bouncing off the cold metal .She tried to cry out but her voice was hoarse and barely audible, the trunk lid closed and she was plunged into darkness.
The car drove for what felt like hours, Fay's mind racing with fear and confusion; she couldn't move, couldn't escape, she was completely at the mercy of her captors.
Her thoughts went back to her mother, the unfair treatments she had always gone through in the mansion and what would become of her without her in the mansion.
She thought of how her mother would feel when she woke up without seeing her in the morning,a tear slipped down her cheeks.
Finally the car stopped and the trunk lid opened ,Fay was pulled out ,her body dumped onto the forest floor.
She looked around trying to take in her surroundings but her vision was blurred.
Two figures stood before her ,their faces twisted into snares, they began to transform, their body’s contorting into wolves.
Fay's Heart raced as she realized they were going to attack her,she didn't know who they were and why they wanted to kill her but what she knew was that she had to survive, she had to stay alive for her mother.
But then, a third wolf appeared, its fur Gray and majestic, the two wolves snarled and attacked but the gray road fought them with its teeth snapping in the darkness.
The gray wolf caught back ,it's fur standing on end as it defended itself against the two attackers
Fay watched in horror, her mind foggy from the injection as the three wolves clashed in a frenzy of teeth and claws.
But the two wolves were no match for the gray wolf ,they stumbled back wounded and then ran away and disappeared into the darkness.
The gray wolf approached Fay,its eyes gleaming in the moonlight.she tried to scramble away but her body felt heavy and unresponsive the wolf looked over her, its hot breath washing over her face.
And then, in a flash of movement, the wolf transformed into a man . Fay's eyes widened in shock and she took in his rugged features, his piercing eyes and his muscular physique.
“Are you okay?" He asked softly, brushing his hand over her hair.
But then she didn't have time to react as her vision began to blur and she felt herself falling into darkness. She tried to speak but her voice was barely a whisper.
Her thoughts were running wide, she wondered who he was and why he was helping her as she stared up into his face, his eyes gleaming in the moonlight.
Her thoughts were soon interrupted, her vision began to fade, her head was throbbing in pain as the darkness started to claim her.
He slid his hand behind her and raised her up to his chest, her body limp in his arms.
“You are safe now …you would be okay," He was saying,”Let me take you home”
Dominic sat beside Fay on the bed, his eyes full of concern as he gently wrapped a thick, warm, blanket around her shivering body. Her skin was ice cold to the touch, and her breathing still came in ragged gasps. The transformation had taken a toll on her, but he knew she would be alright. The room was quiet, save for the faint crackling of the fire in the hearth, which cast soft, dancing shadows across the stone walls. The Elders had shown them to a small, secluded room in the ancient building where they could rest. Dominic had already prepared a calming herbal brew for her, the scent of mint and lavender filling the air. He helped her drink it slowly, watching as she winced slightly at the bitter taste, but she sipped it down, her fingers trembling against the cup."That should help you relax," Dominic murmured softly, brushing a strand of her damp hair from her forehead. "You did well, Fay. That was... an incredible moment."Fay nodded, but her gaze was distant, as if she were sti
The air inside the car was thick with anticipation as Dominic drove toward the unknown. Fay sat beside him, her hands tightly clenched in her lap, her mind swirling with a mix of fear, confusion, and excitement. The journey had been long, but they were finally close. The Elders had asked to meet her--no, they needed to meet her. It was time for her to understand who she truly was, what she was destined to become. It was time.As the car came to a slow stop, Fay looked out the window, her breath catching in her throat. The building before them was massive, ancient and intimidating. Towering stone walls stretched up to the sky, covered in ivy and worn by time. At the entrance stood two giant wolf statues, their eyes fierce and unblinking, as if guarding the threshold to a realm beyond her comprehension. The statues were worn, but their majesty still commanded respect.Dominic's voice cut through her thoughts as he turned off the engine. "We're here."Fay nodded silently, her heart raci
The night was thick with an eerie silence that settled like a heavy blanket over the mansion. Outside, Fay could hear even the faintest sounds, she listened as the wind whispered through the trees, and inside perhaps from the very far distance, all was still. Was this all that comes with her powers, with her wolf awakening? She decided to focus on just one sound and then almost successfully the only sound she brought herself to hear now was the steady, rhythmic breathing of Dominic as he slept, his chest rising and falling in the peaceful rhythm of slumber. Fay lay awake beside him, staring up at the dark ceiling and at the sane time, trying to control the bubbling inside her veins. For wolves sake, she could even hear her blood surging in her human-wolf veins. Her mind was far from peaceful, troubled by thethoughts of the future and the power she was still learning to control. The faint hum of her own energy buzzed in the background, but it was the images of the Council, the threat
The room remained eerily still as the last echoes of Fay's explosive display faded into the air. The trainers, who had been silent witnesses to the unexpected eruption of power, began to stir, their murmurs low but filled with awe. "Good grief, she's becoming powerful" Someone whispered "More than Dominic? I don't think so." Someone whispered back."How in the name of the moon goddess did she do that?" Another asked."Is she really what they're all saying she is?"One by one, they filed out of the room, speaking in hushed tones to one another, clearly shaken by what they had just witnessed. The training hall, usually filled with the sounds of combat and training, now seemed haunted by the aftermath of the power that had surged from Fay.Fay stood in the center of the room, still reeling from the overwhelming wave of strength that had taken hold of her. Her breath came in quick, shallow gasps as she tried to steady herself. She could still feel the pulse of her wolfs energy thrummin
The sounds of the training room echoed through the mansion, a constant rhythm of grunts, footsteps, and the clash of limbs as the fighters trained relentlessly. Sweat dripped from their brows, muscles straining under the weight of their efforts. The trainers, sitting at the sidelines, observed with sharp eyes, making sure every move was executed perfectly, every strike counted. In the middle of it all stood Fay, her body poisedand alert, facing her opponent - Dominic. She had been training with him for weeks now, growing more powerful each day.Today, however, was different. Today, Dominic had decided to push her further, to challenge her in ways he hadn't before. He nodded to her challenger, telling him to take a break as he walked to Fay who was looking surprised as well as the other trainers.Fay gave him a questioning look and he only smiled, he could see the uncertainty in her eyes as he stepped forward , she stood doubting if it was possible to combat Dominic. She felt the ten
The quiet of the mansion settled over Dominic like a blanket, his mind wandering to the changes that had come into his life. His chest was bare, the smooth skin of his muscles stretching as he stood before the mirror. In the reflection, his inky ancient tattoos seemed darker, deeper, as if they too were growing with the awakening that had started within him. His mind was full of thoughts...thoughts about Fay, about her power, about the future that seemed so uncertain but still so full of promise. He was aware of the changes happening within her, but every time he looked at her, it felt as though the transformation was unfolding at a faster pace than even he had expected.Dominic's gaze was unfocused as he stared at himself, contemplating the mysteries that lay ahead, but the sound of the bathroom door creaking open pulled him from his thoughts. He glanced over, his heart skipping a beat when he saw Fay emerge from the bathroom, the dim light casting soft shadows across her silhouet
