Chapter Seventy

Three days later

"What did you do?!" Saira cried immediately Daniel came into her room. "What did you do?!"

"You killed him." Daniel shrugged.

"Excuse me?" She was dumbfounded.

"You said you'd rather die than be with me. You said you wanted to be with him and not me, so I thought I'd just make it easier for the judge by judging him myself." He replied flippantly. "You kill using a gun... so, one must die by the same weapon."

"Where did you put him? No one can find him." She said through gritted teeth.

After the shooting, the men had gone to look for Ethan to finish him off finally, but they couldn't find him. He'd just... disappeared. They'd set the house on fire thinking that if he'd survived the rain of bullets, then he wouldn't survive the fire.

"He was probably hit so he went to hide somewhere to die alone." Daniel said. "Now you can be with me forever."

"Over my dead body. You have killed my son and husband. I have nothing else to live for." Saira sobbed.
