" I love you." I say to a sleeping Wesley.
" You finally said it."
Or not.
" You messed up my moment, Adams." I complain, flicking his nose.
His eyes flutter open and I smile at him. I feel his hand reach under the covers to touch my waist.
" No, You cheated, you knew that I wanted to be awake when you finally said it."
" I love you." He blinks at me.
I see him lean close and I meet him halfway, to connect our lips. A small moan slips out when he lightly squeezes on my waist.
I sigh in contentment, when he breaks the kiss and starts peppering kisses on my face. " My bluebear." He says against my forehead.
I place my hand on his chest, right where his heart beats. He leans back to look at me, and we find ourselves simply staring at each other.
" So, nervous about today?" I ask.

" So, how do we do this?" I ask, turning around to face Aiden.I'm doing all I can to not let the tears fall." You know that this is not exactly goodbye."" My brother Aiden and I have been runaways for as long as I could remember. It was never by choice but of forced situation, leading us to the life we now know.We've moved to more places than I can count, and I've never bothered to get to know a place enough to consider it home.But here we are, in the small town of Rivermead, a sought out refuge till we initially were here, with intention of settling down for at least more than 2 years.I never fully understood why we ran until an incident happened, which jolted all blocked memories awake and I was facing my worst nightmare.A time I don't long to remember and want no repeat of. I'm pretty sure my brother would agree with me on this. My brother Aiden has been the only family I know and have, since mom passed away when I was just 8 years old. He basically raised me and I love him so much. As for my father, well, that's a story for another day.

With careful steps I make it much closer, but still remaining a steps distance from him, where he's not sensed nor seen me. His focus, no doubt is on the bottom." Are you going to jump anytime soon?" He jumps at the sound of my voice, his head snapping to my direction so fast, I hope he doesn't get whiplash.I walk over to stand right next to him, I can feel his eyes intently watching my every move. When I first moved to this town, my initial thought was, okay, it's another small town to lay low till we move again, but how wrong was I?Months have passed and I'm starting to loosen up, on the high walls around me. It's hard to even think of making a life for myself, when being on the constant run. My brother and I have even become good at it, it's scary.But what does one do when it's a matter of life and death?We practically raised ourselves, and we always looked out for each other, we've ran and survived. Now here we are, trying to make something of our lives. The chair on the other side of the table is pulled back." So is this where you usually hide, when you're not in the company of your friend?" He's here again.What does he want?I lean back and sigh, just staring at him." You probably want to punch me, don't you?"" What gave you that idea?"" Well, you have that look, it says a lot."" Well I must be really ugly then." I mumble, getting back to my schoolwork." That's not ---------"The bell rings, cutting him off.I rise to my feet and pack everything into my bag. I make the mistake of glancing at him, where his eyes are focused on the table. He's in his hoodie today, but has revealed more of his face to the world." If you don't want anyone on your back, being late for detention isn't the way. " I say, before walking away.

" Oh come on."" No"" It won't even take that long."" I don't care."" I'll be the one doing it, so I don't understand what you're so worried about." He sighs." I'll still be a witness and that says a lot." I point my finger at him." I just feel bad."" Well get over it, now can we eat? I'm starving." I don't even wait for him to speak before I take a slice of pizza and start to eat.So I stopped him from breaking into school, to retrieve my phone, I'm a good girl, shoot me. Suspended.I can't believe I almost got suspended, though I've been saved by my clean record and Wesley's defense.He literally defended me and yes, most of this was his fault, but him coming through for me, really surprised me.
