EVREN

Rory squeezed her eyes shut in shock, then snapped them open, a sharp gasp catching in her throat.

She shoved upward with both forearms, straining every tendon in her shoulders to dislodge him, but he was immovable. A mountain of muscles, bones, and ancient royal blood held her flat.

Cursing under her breath, she forced her limbs to go dead still, glaring straight up into his face, keeping her chin angled high and refusing to yield a single inch of deference even with his body caging her

Aww I love seeing the softer side of Evren. It seems he really does want his mate bond with Rory. I can’t wait to see what happens when he finds out about what happened to her.

RORY'Bastard.' I cursed him a thousand times in my head, absolutely furious at my own treacherous biology."Don't flatter yourself, Evren Stormvale." I kept my voice a toxic whisper, absolutely refusing to break eye contact. "The only way I'm getting in your bed is if I need a comfortable angle to smother you with a pillow while you sleep!"Evren let out a low, vibrating chuckle. The sound rumbled deep in his bare chest, transferring the intense vibration directly to my palms where they rested on his warm, damp skin.He leaned a fraction closer, letting the slope of his nose brush the curve of my cheek. The heat radiating off his body was entirely unbearable. My racing heart hammered a frantic, sickening rhythm in my throat, choking the air right out of my lungs.I swallowed hard, desperately trying to dislodge the thick knot forming there, but my mouth was completely dry.My gaze betrayed me, dropping from his metallic silver eyes to track the water droplets trailing down his carved

RORYTears glistened brightly in Luna Leslie’s gray eyes, threatening to spill over her lashes.I was completely stunned, my mind spinning frantically to piece the puzzle together. What on earth did she mean by waiting for me?My gaze drifted to Evren. One of his dark eyebrows lifted high, but he kept his expression perfectly stoic. He stepped forward, gently guiding his mother toward a plush armchair at the head of the long table.I took the empty seat directly beside the Luna. I ignored the wary, hostile glares burning the side of my head.Everyone at the table looked at me like I might pull a knife at any second. My reputation as the Widow Queen preceded me. They expected a ruthless, unstable Alpha. Lunging at their Beta the second I walked through the door certainly didn't disappoint them.Estelle leaned forward, resting her chin on her hands. Her dark eyes shone with fascinated amusement."You really were going to gut him, weren't you?" Estelle pointed a manicured finger at Tyson

  • HIS UNTAMED QUEEN   CH.33

RORYA feral, vibrating snarl ripped out of my throat as I launched myself across the room, closing the distance in a blur of lethal speed.Tyson's eyes widened a fraction of a second before I slammed him back.He crashed hard on the wood panel, the impact rattling the ornate frames hanging nearby. The crystal glass shattered across the marble floor as I drove my fist straight for his face."You arrogant piece of shit!" I pulled back for another strike, my vision swimming in a haze of violent red. "You dare attack my Beta!"Tyson caught my wrist right before the second punch could connect. His smugness fractured instantly, replaced by genuine, wide-eyed alarm. "Your Beta shouldn't have interfered with Crown business.""Crown business?" I twisted my arm free, dropped my center of gravity, and went straight for his throat. "You attack him bloody because your King wanted to play kidnapper!"Tyson rolled, trying to pin me down, but I brought my knee up hard, catching his lower ribs with b

RORYThe cool marble beneath my bare feet grounded me, pulling my fractured focus back to my physical body one careful step at a time. The fortress had gone completely quiet, the ambient hum of the massive estate settling down to a pre-dawn stillness feeling almost reverent. My nerve endings were still absolutely fried from the panic attack and Evren’s gaze.I wandered the winding, opulent corridors until I spotted an Omega carrying a stack of fresh linens."Where is the family parlor?" I kept my tone entirely flat, completely stripped of every pleasantry. The young woman's eyes went wide. She clearly recognized the interloper roaming the wing. "The main hall, My Lady. Down the corridor, past the grand staircase, through the double oak doors on the left."I nodded, turning on my heel to follow her directions.I made it about ten paces before a cold draft swept past my bare legs.I stopped, glancing down at my borrowed clothes.Evren's oversized shirt stopped midway down my thighs. It

RORYSteam curled off my skin as I walked out of the en-suite bath wrapped in nothing but a white towel ending well above midthigh.I worked a dry towel through my damp hair, moving with cool ease. I didn't care that this wing belonged to an Alpha King who could stroll through the door at any second.I walked straight to his wardrobe, bypassed the tailored suits, and pulled a charcoal linen button-down off a wooden hanger. It fell past my knees, pooling loose and broad on my shoulders. Shaking my dark hair loose around my collarbones, I sat on the edge of the mattress, letting my gaze sweep the quarters.A massive portrait on the far wall caught my attention.I stood up, my bare feet silent on the dark hardwood, and stepped closer to study the canvas. The late Alpha King commanded the center of the frame, carrying the same harsh jawline and brooding intensity Evren wore like armor.Beside him sat Leslie Stormvale, radiant in her younger years, with rich chestnut hair and a soft grace

ZANETyson Warren stood under the harsh halogen lights, tossing my car keys on the wet asphalt.“The King ordered your release, Black. You’re dismissed.” Tyson smoothed his immaculate cuffs, unbothered by the blood dripping from his chin.I spat a mouthful of copper on the road.My ribs ground together, fractured and burning with every shallow breath.Tyson’s royal guards had hauled me back to the gala’s holding quarters just long enough for Evren’s private jet to clear the eastern airspace, then tossed me back to my vehicle like garbage.I didn’t have the numbers to fight a dozen elite warriors alone. If I died on this mountain pass, nobody would be left to mount a rescue.I scooped up the keys, climbed into my car, and drove down the dark eastern highway like a guided missile.I blew through speed limits and ran red lights across the industrial bypass, pushing the engine to its limit. My body was wrecked. A dark, swollen bruise covered the left side of my jaw.My torn shirt was pain
